"Ah, hell no!" WombatMan exclaimed. With a rush of fury and power, he tried digging underground to escape these foes.

"Very well." Chainsawman said, swinging his arm back as if he were ready to strike. He rushed at Pluto, going remarkably faster than he did during their previous fight, swinging diagonally when he was in range.

[Blackhook]

Pluto blocked the chainsaw with his claw, making it stop in the process.

"You Navi, is that all you've got? And I thought you were a chosen one!"

Pluto managed to pick CM above his head and throw him across the network.

"Hey, Rankine, these things are just... brilliantly resilient." Crux stammered as the navis he had slashed in half only moments before had reassembled themselves together and resumed ravishing him. He used the FlameBody chip, and burned the surrounding navis to a crisp, but to no avail, as they carried on as if he had done nothing to resist.

"Dammit, I'm not losing you again!" Rankine uploaded a Geddon2 chip, but at this point, Crux had lost too much energy trying to struggle against the navis and slowly gave in. He began to giggle depravedly.

"Rankine... hee hee hee... they've got me... I like this too much... hee he he..."

CM did several flips to land on his feet when Pluto threw him. Wait, I wasn't this agile last fight... Nor this fast. He thought, wondering what other modifications have been made to him. It occurred to him that he probably also had some of WM's data. Maybe he had some more forms too? Well, he hadn't taken the time to examine himself until now. His armor was definitely slimmer, the metal patch over his eye was gone, and he now actually had a midsection. Other than that he was still the same.

He looked at his other hand, coming up with a thought. CM narrowed his focus, his hand started glowing. A grin spread across his face as he turned his attention back to Pluto, his glowing hand changing into a second chainsaw. "Zehahaha! This is gonna be fun!" He shouted, both chainsaws revving to full speed.

"Crusader!" His navi began to be simple 1s and 0s.

The ethereal eye had been roused from its watchful trance and was now in a state of alarm.

"Hm? These are not simple rogues? Someone would compromise the validity of the experiment?"

It paused for a moment and turned around.

"Perhaps there is little to lose, as the experimentation phase has only begun, but I will not lose the variables."

It warped out of the network.

[Blackhook]

Crusader was turned completely into a sphere of data, which then flew to the direction of Dark Moon. Dark moon absorbed the data - the first chosen was ready for transport.

Replied Pluto and charged at CM
"Bring back PLUTO!"
Shouted the feline Navi, CM's chainsaw was trapped inside something resembling a block of Ice. The navi tried to smach it, but it prooved useless.
"This is the full extend of my ability. An invisible bullet that freezes data. This data cannot be restored untill I decide so!"
Pluto then tried a series of slashes against CM.

"Ah hell. Well, nothing for it now." WombatMan said, resigned to his fate.

-Tourney is over, Taylor emerges victorious. She is awarded a few chips, the Southern Cross being among one of them.
-Taylor, Tryn are both hospitalized. Rankine goes to visit Taylor, Sean is in same hospital somwhere.
-Hospital is on lockdown by independent navis as portrayed by Blackhook.
I probably missed something, so someone feel free to add to this.]]

Tai, who had been unconscious up until now, was waking up.

"Ugh, what happened?"

"Oh, look who finally woke up. You've been unconscious since the end of the last battle and were brought to the hospital, and now the hospital is under attack! Come on, we have to help!" answered Mirror Knight to hist operator.

"Are Taylor and the others from the tournament here?"

"Uh, they should be."

"Well, wake me up when this is all over then," said Tai before going back to sleep.

"..."

[Actually, Sean's outside the hospital, trying to find a way in, otherwise, CM would've used at least 6 battle chips by now.]

CM instinctively blocked Pluto's attacks using his now frozen chainsaws. "Figures that a simple underling would have a power that makes his opponent unable to attack." He said, not completely sure why he was attempting to goad Pluto, considering he was now having fun. CM was prepared to dodge if Pluto tried to freeze even more of him.

Taylor was out of her bed, and since she couldn't do anything for WombatMan yet, she looked for something else to do. She broke the window with a chair, and used some bedsheets for a makeshift rope to climb down. She knew that someone outside had to help. Running, she almost ran right into Sean before she saw him.

Pluto started laughing like a maniac for a while.

"Underling? Who do you call an underling? A navi that does exactly what his 'operator' tells him is calling me an underling? WATCH YOUR FILTHY MOUTH!"

Pluto started furiously slashing at CM, who managed to dodge some of them, but Pluto was able to slash of his other arm.

Rankine panicked. He was about to go insane when Taylor broke the window and climbed out using a makeshift rope out of bedsheets.

"She's quite vigorous, even when cut up? Scary..."

Rankine began to climb out as well, and made for his home before he remembered he had taken a long trip by subway here. He got the idea of purchasing a new PET that would help him to search out Spectro once again. He looked in his wallet and saw that he had a few credit cards to work with.

"Whoever these people are, they're costing me a lot of money."

Rankine made for a PET retailer.

Sean had been looking for a way in when Taylor nearly ran into him. "Gah! Taylor! When'd you get here?" He asked, somewhat started and thoroughly confused.

"GAH! What are you doing? Trying to get in?"

Sean nodded to Taylor's question. "Yeah, and I need to get in there, as I sent in Chainsawman and need to get back in contact with him in case he needs help."

"Well if you need in, use the rope-thing I made to get down." She fell to one knee suddenly, gasping for air. "Ungh, guess I'm not healed yet. I think I'll follow you. That might be better for me than wandering around."

After jacking into the town network and doing some searching, Rankine finally found Spectro lounging around in the network of some café, where he was being told to leave the area.

"You know, you and Crux should stop getting into dangerous situations like that. Then maybe I wouldn't be running around like an idiot. You know?"

"Hey, you remember that promise you made to me?" Rankine said, being as patient as humanly possible with him.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"You know: 'I'll do whatever you want me to do, just don't turn me in to those net officials'?"

Spectro paused for a minute. "I was just exaggerating. Besides, I was desperate."

"Oh, okay, then I suppose the officials will be happy to see you. I'll just call them over here--"

Spectro immediately got up on his feet. "Oh, all RIGHT. God dammit Jesus [tornado fang]ing christ..."

Spectro was not in the PET pro tem, and Rankine wend back to the hospital.
