Yeah, I had in mind an RPG/SRPG kind of game. In a fighting game you can pretty much stick any kind of characters :P

Very true. For that specific outfit, my thought was more of a Soul Calibur type fighting game. But RPG was definitely the first though. Again, I love the staff. XD

Also, I'd love for you to design an outfit like that for PBPB as well.

You could also stick me on that list of "people who'd love to see your take on their designs". I won't make any specific requests though since you do sound like you have a busy time there.

I have nothing but doodles and unfinished stuff right, but I got tired of just lurking and randomly posting silly stuff. So here's another bunch of WIPs! As for the requests, I won't promise anything, but I'll see what I can do :P

This one was made based on Irism depiction of Iris. It's still REALLY sketchy though.

Hopefully things will settle for next week. HOPEFULLY...

Quick sketch. I haven't used Photoshop in a long time to draw, so I felt like going back to it.

I would seriously love to see your process as well as learn some tips on how you use your brushes in PS. Seriously, every time I try to tame the beast, nothing ever looks halfway close to what I would want it to be like. Do you start with a mass of color and work from there upward or do you actually outline/sketch first?

Edit - Epic Freudian slip right there. XD

For that one I did a simple lineart, added a color base underneath, and then started with the detailing on a layer above the lineart, sort of like this:

Some other times I start with a silhouette instead of a sketch and color over it.

I also used some custom brushes I got from somewhere, can't remember exactly where :P

And thanks btw C:

Alright then. That's all great to know. Sometimes, I feel intimidated by PS and find myself looking at the stuff people can create in it and wonder how they do it without consulting the pros. Guess I just need to sit down and get familiar with it again. BTW, which version are you using?

It's just a matter of patience when you first start with the program, and then tutorial hunting later on. There are also some really fantastic speedpaintings uploaded at Youtube too, you can learn a lot from different workflows with those.

I recently got the whole CS4 pack, I still have a lot of programs I have no idea what they do :P. If you have a graphic acceleration hardware (which I don't have in my laptop) you have the plus of having the canvas rotation function, but if you don't any version would work I think. CS4 improved the layout a lot imo.
