My favorite game is Rockman X, hands down. My "least favorite" is Rockman EXE 4

MoiBakaDesu

I still have to play a lot of the games so ...

Favourite would be Megaman X 5 and Megaman 8, I gues my love for X5 lies in the fact, that it was the first game that I actually beat.

I don`t have a game right now, that I really hate or anything but my least favourite would be Megaman ZX because I got so confused about where to go, I couldn`t stand it. That map simply made no sense to me sometimes.
And the feeling from those newer games is kind of off, too, but that`s a different story.

SoulAnimal

Least favorite, Any Shooting Star Megaman.
I just REALLY didnt like the series..

You'll get along with RDW AKA OBJECTION MAN then.

Personally I love it, but meh. To each their own.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Frozen Potato

i owned X6,X6 was awesome

FAV=X4,X6,X8,Z3,L2

Less=X7,BN,SF

GP Aznable

FAVE: Old School Megaman(Side Scrolling)

LESS: EXE, StarForce

That is all.
Eat, or be eaten...

Soultrigger

yay for necro'ing (well, not like anythings happened recently for Mega Man) :(

Favorite: X2
+emphasis on speed in the stage design
+huge flexibility in stage order for item completion
+favorite armor

Most hated: StarForce 2
-encounter rate is too freaking high, traveling across Sky Wave was incredibly annoying
-virus battles are tedious ("didn't kill enemy in 0.10 seconds with triple kill? lol rank 7, enjoy 500 zenny") <- exaggeration but you get the point
-Tribe King is ridiculously stupid, both conceptually and aethetically

By the way, by "favorite" and "most hated", I'm simply choosing the game based on the impression they left me.
Objectively speaking, there are much better games than X2 (e.g. X1), and there are also worse games than StarForce 2 (X7, BCC, etc.)

But between all the horrible games and StarForce 2, at least those other games I can derive some sort of ironic or masochistic pleasure. StarForce 2 was just bleh for me.

Favorite: Network Transmission.  Really cool mix of the Battle Network and Classic series, and the first "classic-style" game in a long time after MM&B, before MM9 came out anyway.
Least: X6.  A garbage game where everything that could have gone wrong went wrong.  The only redeeming factor is that it has a good soundtrack, but I can listen to that on its own without having to submit myself to the torture that is this garbage game.

"Everything?"

X6 did not have a boss Zero with only two survivable attacks, did not kill Zero in the same boss explosion effect that he and X stare at a dozen times a game (and certainly did not do so while Zero was off-screen and said effect happens in X's face), did not structure itself with the intent of withholding X's final non-Ultimate Armor until the worst possible stage to use it in, did not start X with what was effectively the end-of-game secret power-up missing one attack, did not feature a ranking system that punishes you for destroying enemies, did not structure itself to forbid access to at least half of all Power Up Parts at all times, and it made the Z-Buster useful against something other than giant taxis.

That's just off the top of my head.

Not sure what this is referring to, but with how many imbalanced boss fights there are in this game I don't think having a less-than-crappiest Zero fight makes up for it.

Quotedid not structure itself with the intent of withholding X's final non-Ultimate Armor until the worst possible stage to use it in, did not start X with what was effectively the end-of-game secret power-up missing one attack
Yeah, instead the game was designed solely around X's falcon armor and made it impossible to beat as unarmored X (or impossible to beat if you lost critical parts).

Quotedid not feature a ranking system that punishes you for destroying enemies
No, but its reploid rescue system was even more game-destroying.

Quotedid not structure itself to forbid access to at least half of all Power Up Parts at all times
No, but everything else about the structure of this game is garbage, so I don't see this as a plus.  It's like saying "This ice cream sundae may be full of razor blades, but at least there's no poison".

Quoteand it made the Z-Buster useful against something other than giant taxis.
Zero's totally broken in this game--I wouldn't call that a point in the "great game design" column.

X6 is mediorce at best.
Frustrating for non fans.
Irritating for most fans with a handful of people defending it like its the triforce.

For every thing it does right it does something equally wrong.
You can get power ups that are great and useful, but unless you already have it memorized you dont know who has what and you might lose it if the wrong guy dies.

The levels have some great ideas for locations and most of the time you feel like that place could possibly exist (within reason). Yet there is so much [parasitic bomb] on the screen to constantly deal with you cant really enjoy it.

The story is engaging.
This is the first time they made a real effort to show how X feels.
That is the game's redeeming factor to me.
Its always nice to be able to empathize with the main character and truly feel connected with them.

Yes in many ways it is better than X5, but thats like comparing Fantastic Four to Rise of the Silver Surfer. Better doesnt mean its good.

If it werent for the poor collision and sloppy controls as everything else is really a matter of whether you like harder games with small error margins.

Favorite: Megaman 4 great weapons,great music,and great everything 0v0

Least Favorite:Megaman 3 bad weapons,ok music, and basically not that good  ::) (but still a good game)
I lost to Guts Man and only cried for 5 hours.

I guess you could call me MANLY!!!

Police Girl

I had a list somewhere on here earlier.

Its not accurate anymore, so I'll be changing it.

Classic Series (Divided into two sections since I find the 8-bit games play differently from the other ones):

Favorite 8-Bit: MM3, did so much right and is a decent challenge even to this day.

Least Favorite: MM9, Capcom nostalgia wanking, going backwards on advancements in gameplay (Only keeping rush and the speedier ladder climbing from later games.)

Favorite Post 8-Bit: MM7, Wonderful music, fun weapons, great ending. Always a blast to play.
Least Favorite: MM&B, specifically the GBA version. Lame music, unrelenting difficulty, bullshit dash controls (SFC version didn't have this problem because of a dedicated dash button. [tornado fang] command dashing.), Bosses have far too much invulnerability time.

X:

Favorite: X2, perfect blend of good levels, freedom to play the game with as many or as few upgrades as you want. Truly the best 16-bit X in many cases.

Least Favorite: X4, dull music, probably the worst X armor (Weak hover that only works for a few seconds, [parasitic bomb] buster, Helmet was the only good thing about it.) X doesn't have much in the way of story or significance to the story, probably only there because it wouldn't be an X game without X.

Zero:

Favorite: Z4, Ended the story in style, kept most of the enjoyable extended cast around, added a few more, good boss battles. Rankings optional finally.

Least: Z1, this doesn't mean its a bad game, it did a lot of things really well and did some original stuff like an almost completely connected world. But the ability to fail a mission and lose access to it entirely is a downside, and leveling weapons up to use their charge attacks or complete combos is not fun in the least.

Battle Network:

Favorite: BN6, probably one of the best Navi customizers, decent story, great chip selection, cross system is good.

Least Favorite: Tie between BN5 and BN4, Mediocre Navi Customizers (In BN4's case awful since its the one with the least freedoms, thanks to no Compress codes.), Story in BN4 is almost nonexistant thanks to the game being almost entirely tournaments. BN5 has painfully dull Liberation missions, story is okay. Dark Chips in both games are essentially worthless save for in BN5 for chaos crosses. Soul system is a lousy replacement for the Style Changes of BN2 and 3.

Starforce, ZX, and Legends all get excluded from this as ZX only has two games and I never played the entirety of Starforce or Legends.

Gauntlet101010

Favourite?  Well, that should be obvious.  4 would be my favourite after 3.

Least favourite?  I remember really disliking bn4.  It has a really great, engaging story .... and then it stops right when it gets interesting and gives us a whole bunch of "filler" coupled with the most overused of all anime plots - the tourney plot.  I don't know who thought reusing the same old maps with obstacles counted as a new dungeon, but it was a horrid idea.  I began using a "no battles" and walk through walls code just to get the game done faster.  It only got back to the actually interesting Dark Chip plot right at the end of the game.

I'd say I dislike bn4 more than even the PC games.  I've played the PC games more than once, not so BN4.  With them at least you know what you're getting into; they don't masquerade as good games.

AquaTeamV3

Favorite: Legends 1 (2 as a close second), X2, MM8

Least Favorite: BN4, X5

Pretty much this.  X6 has it's fun moments and I replay it occasionally, but IMO there's no defending it.  Most, if not all of the criticism it gets aimed at it is fully deserved.  There's tons of objectively bad/rushed level design present that no amount of player skill can cover up.

Really? I dunno how X4's armor is any worse than X3's or the Glide Armor.

X3 had the Upwards Air Dash and the Buster was kind of cool at least. The Helmet was the least helpful thing but the chip that recovered health was a neat idea. The armor itself had that Barrier that I don't fully understand the purpose of, and the Gold Armor/Chip upgrades were novel ideas that I enjoyed playing around with.

The Ultimate Armor in X4 was fine most of the time thanks to infinite Nova Dashing, but I still dislike the Plasma shot most of all X Charge Shots, mainly because all I ever saw it do was CHINKCHINKCHINKCHINKCHINK whenever it hit an enemy, not really doing much in the way of extra damage thanks to the large cooldown the enemy would have between hits. That bugged the ever loving [parasitic bomb] out of me.

I didn't find the pinging nearly as annoying in X4 for the simple fact that bosses actually took recurring damage from the Plasma Shot.  X5/X6's Ultimate Armor was pure grating on your ears though.  As for X3's barrier, IIRC you took less damage after being struck for a limited amount of time (in addition to the normal armor damage reduction).  Without the chip part the barrier reduced damage by an additional 25% (62.5% total reduction), and with the chip part the barrier reduced damage by an additional 50% (75% total reduction).  Honestly X3's armor would be darn near perfect if the Buster didn't suck so much.
