I actually got off my lazy butt and tried the Sonic XG demo today.  Music and visuals are impressive (I love the Sonic Drift invincibility remix).  Framerate is not, too choppy during high speed runs.  And the gravity is too heavy, it throws off my 3l33t timing and Tails' flight is forced to be a lot more jumpy to compensate.  Special stages were cool, you don't get a lot of forewarning when rings/bombs are on the way, but since you get some room for error it balances out.
