It's like they wanted to reshow th eoriginal power rangers, but couldn't help themselves to rub themselves aginst it so they added a new intro and did as much "tweaking" as they could, said tweaking makes the show feel like some awkward ripoff.

I stopped watching the intro at the very first seconds. Yes, it's THAT horrible. Although I watched the series but never remembered anything, the modifications are pure [parasitic bomb].

With this, I wouldn't exactly call the manga-ish effects bad. It's just adding more corny things to a show that was already pretty damn corny. I'm not sure if that's what they're aiming for with this, but either way it is unnecessary. Just replaying it in its original form would've been just fine, and saved Disney some time, effort, and money.
