Bitchslap was the name for the next Smash back when the previous one was Melee

I don't think a poll is required.

-whispers in PB's ear-....I think we might need a poll, sir.

You certainly know how to get my attention!  [eyebrow]

Ahrzayl

xD Really? Well, considering the roster so far, I find Bitchslap appropriate. lol

SSB4 will 4ever be Bitchslap to me and nobody will tell me otherwise.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

I wonder what they will name it though? I mean they can't seriously call it kerfluffle. So far it's just "Super Smash Bros."

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

QuoteWith Melee and Brawl subtitles already used, would the new games keep the fighting spirit? Scuffle? Skirmish? In this case, series creator Masahiro Sakurai is thinking in simpler terms - the two games are called Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
I'm assuming this wasn't posted here. So that "for Wii U/3DS" text under the SSB name wasn't tentative after all.

That's stupid. I'd take SSB 4 over that.

Smash U and 3DSmash work well enough for me.

Pffffft. Peach? Fox? Captain Falcon? You were no PB when it came to using those two!  8)

For the record, Lou & I still think that the Kirby/Captain Falcon Double Falcon Punch Death is still the greatest moment of Brawl ever!  8D

Oh man, I still have all of my Brawl replays on hand. One day, I'm going to make a montage of all the funny stuff that went down in our matches and put it up on Youtube. My personal favorite (even after the Kirby/Falcon Double Panch) was the Falcon/Ganondorf punch on poor Lou's Ike that one time. XD

Phi

So, it was probably obvious enough from the two versions having some of their own stages, but there will be no cross-play between them. Meaning you can't, for example, fight Wii U players on your 3DS version or vice versa.

Police Girl

I thought there was some rumor of some sort of link up between the two versions? I guess those got debunked?

No, he stated that there will be connectivity between the two.

Actually, lemme just put the quote from the article:

QuoteThe Wii U and 3DS versions of the new Super Smash Bros. will not feature cross-platform play, director of Sora Ltd. Masahiro Sakurai tells Joystiq. Since each version of the game has completely different stages, cross-platform play wouldn't work, he told us through an interpreter. Each version will interact with one another, however, as announced back in 2011. Specifically, players will be able to take characters they've customized and transfer them to the Wii U version.

He wouldn't elaborate on exactly what those customizations are, saying only that they won't be costumes and they won't be something that players have to unlock through repetitive tasks.
Different costumes, he said, would take away from what makes each character unique. He also wanted to avoid boring, repetitive tasks, while Sora works to produce a "stress free, easy connectivity" between the two versions.

When asked if the level editor would return, Sakurai gave us a "no comment."

Police Girl

Oh awesome, that was one of the main reasons I wanted to get both versions.

Phi

I wonder what those "customizations" are.

I hope it's RPG elements like added speed, agility or something like that.

Police Girl

Maybe that's what the Mii would be for if they're truly in, it'd make sense if Miis are custom characters that you can enhance and stuff.

OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. That was pretty spectacular.  8D

Phi

You know, I never did play Brawl with you guys.

That will change, starting with this game!

Police Girl

I never played brawl much either. I played with Jelly once or twice though. But the connection wasn't too good so I never played online since.

Phi

Wii games don't have it good like Wii U or even 3DS in terms of online.

My TatsuCap online experience was [tornado fang]ing dreadful. Freezing everywhere, matches would start for a few seconds and then disconnect and there were times when I couldn't connect at all.

I'm glad Ninty made huge improvements with their online servers.

Protoman Blues

I played some decent TatsuCap matches. I miss Brawling with everyone.
