At any rate, I found the perfect substitute name for MPX's Nitro Man...Trinitro Man! It doesn't exceed the 8-letter limit AND still retains the meaning of nitroglycerine.

At any rate, mine haven't been used yet (except for Chef Man, but that's only in fan circles, so it doesn't really count ).

I can't really speak for Phil, but I have a feeling that, in this case, he'll still be keeping the name Nitro Man. The title of our game was one thing, it NEEDED to be changed, but as for the name of his robot master... I know that Phil designed Nitro Man when he was just a kid and that the robot master is dear to his heart. I don't think this is going to make him change it just because an official game has the same name.

I'm curious to see how different the two Nitro Men will look; considering one Nitro Man is nitro fuel vehicle-based, and the other is nitroglycerin explosive-based.

Therein lies the inherent problem: People will get confused.

Also, consider the recent "MM10" assets debacle...If Capcom learns that his RM has the same name as theirs, he might get sued (although, how likely this is, I have no clue). Getting his game confused with theirs is bad enough...

Sorta. That's the second time now Capcom copied our name. But they got lucky this time, as I don't remember what weapon we gave Solar Man. We're not going to have a Tornado Man repeat this time.
