Ok, well now that I have officially received everything I know of so far, it's time to mention it!
- Figure Drawing: Design & Invention by Michael Hampton
- A New Wallet with $10 in it.
...that's it.
What's really funny in a strange way about this all is I had more fun with these spoils than I have the entire year so far. The wallet thing is part of a very interesting story from earlier in the year where I lost my 8 year old wallet earlier this year. Anyone who knows me IRL knows that my wallet is second only to my life in terms of things I take care of and keep tabs on. Strangely enough though, I couldn't find it anywhere and it unnerved the hell out of me for a good while.
As it turns out though, my family had actually found it a good time ago and made a sort of joke gift out of it by putting the veteran wallet with all of it's contents underneath the newer one they got me in the same wrapping.
The book is another story entirely. Being that I am trying on my own time to work at getting better with drawing for numerous reasons, I had gotten a few interesting books earlier in the year to read from. I did to some extent, and I'm thankful for that, but all the same I found myself still kinda looking for a more visual aid. I told one of my friends about this and they pointed me in the direction of that book. I just got my copy in the mail today and just from reading the first few pages, I'm more satisfied with this purchase than I can describe. It's a really well done book.
And that's all for now folks!
Mega Edit: Looks like Santa was late this year since we got quite a bit more from him after Christmas Day!
