I recently tried playing Megaman & Bass while streaming it on my justin.tv account.
At first it was okay, but then i kept dying and getting hit. And it just got worse. That game is seriously hard.
Try making a no-hit buster only run is like impossible. Seriously! >_<
The fortress bosses are long and annoying. Specially the 2nd stage big giant bosses. They take forever...specially since i didn't know what to use on em.

Anyone else having troubles with it?

Black Mage J

I played it before, I lost it now, I just used bass, upgraded his buster, then when I fought King the first time with his shiled and all I just used the tranformation to stay inthe air until protoman comes to achieve maximum kick assery, beat pink gate, then when you fight the giant monster thing you just jump when it tries to run you over, jump and jump, forever. Yeah its pretty hard but I played the game when I was, like 6 or seven or something.

I was using Rock. I had gotten to King's 2nd form.(Not purple) My hands was sweating over the King fight and i had like 1 hp left.
I off course died and was sent back to the start of the stage.
I just said F this, shut it off and grabbed my pillow and started hugging it. X(
I seriously do not like that game...

Black Mage J

I just hate how it sends you back to the first king stage all the time. I dont know how many times ive fought shield King.

Flame

This game really should have just been named "Bass", because it was clearly made for him, with the developers suddenly realizing that it was a MEGAMAN game, and was supposed to have MEGAMAN in it.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

The Great Gonzo

And the Fort Guardians prior to King are a pain in the arse, too. Damn monkey and his pullstring-tub-bot of death.

Also, Bunerbastard.

Police Girl

I've never finished it. The music, bosses, everything, gives me a headache to play. Should've saved after King Stages, but actual saving, not that auto save Resume crap that goes away if you use it.

Harruhy

It's not bad, it's just that Forte, well, uh... is pretty much hax.

I've beaten it as both characters, but Rock is irritating.

HyperSonicEXE

I only remember getting that one GroundMan CD and King Tank as one of the 2 characters being a real pain.

Everything else...eh.

BurnerMan's your regular, timing required boss, though I think there's something in DynamoMan's stage that gave me some grief.

Other than that, fun game. I might get a GBA SP again soon if Super Mario All-Stars DS isn't announced. If so, I might have to snag MM&B again.

lol Ice Wall.

I mean, the weapon was useful, if it actually connected. And you saw BurnerMan get hit by the spikes.
Most people I know (including myself) just used the buster.

The Great Gonzo

I can't remember how I defeated Burnerman, but it was only with Bass; I can't even get to the pre-boss room with Megaman.

And Dynamoman...I think I repressed my memory of that fight immediately after winning it.

Me too, all I remember is his sprite, and very little of his stage

Solar

His stage was fine, Dynamoman itself is what may traumatize the weak of mind.

Honestly, the game is fine, until you get to King's Stages that is, most specifically 2. If that stage is not the biggest pain in the ass in all of Megaman history then I don't know what is.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Gauntlet101010

I imported this game when it came out for the SF oh so long ago.  I never managed to beat the giant King. Ever.  Seriously, if they wanted to make him that hard why make that stage a three-in-one?  Not only is that boss annoying, but it's extra annoying to have to go right back to the start every time.

I finally got to see Forte's ending on the SNES when the other Mechanical Maniacs came over and Snakeman finally managed to beat it.

Yeah, it makes no sense at all, King Tank and Jet should've been Fortress bosses with their all stage, not [tornado fang]ing minibosses that you have to fight one after another and then King and then all of them combined. It's ridiculous.

Flame

The Jet was pretty arrgh, if only because for megaman it was a matter of life or death jumps, since you coulnt correct your trajectory mid jump like Bass can.
Burnerman... I like his design.
But I hate him.
I hated that they went the Megaman 1/X1 way of Boss rematches. Where you fight them in the stage as you go along.

BTW, in Groundman's stage, is there any way to get past the wall before the miniboss? I mean. later, I see a door that looks like its from an alternate path. never did find its entrance.

I know there is and I know that I went there once, but I can't remember >__<

In the first puzzle room, there's a ladder at the bottom right corner. You have to destroy the totem above it to climb down it, and you have to get to it before the spike thingy gets there.

On SFC, you could barely see the picture. So on GBA, you probably can't see it at all.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

Fragman

I've said it before, and it bears repeating.  Megaman & Bass is the game that hates you.  Somewhere along the line someone at Capcom said "I just wish there were some way to let the gamers know how much we hate them."  It's the Megaman equivalent of Dethklok's "Fan Song."

indeed. Someone over there hates us.
Or theyre masochists and figured we'd be into that sort of thing, and packed the game full of pain.
