Haha, yes flying in your teens is a lot easier than when you're an adult!

As for High Speed rails & the economy, it would actually help the economy. Building the trains & laying down the tracks would create jobs.

Rail would be more hassle for me if I did it within Canada. I would have to take a bus to Edmonton (500 km due north) in order to catch a train in either direction.

I can walk to LaGuardia, so technically it's easier for me to get to the airport than Penn Station. But Penn Station is still easy for me to get too!

I have to catch BART to get to SFO.

though i CAN use BART to catch Amtrak as well.

There is nothing within any convenient distance from where I live. If I need to go to Harrisburg, I could catch the Rabbit bus to the York transfer center, take the CAT connection to Harrisburg, and get to Amtrak from there, or take a shuttle to the airport. It is still a big hassle no matter how I travel, as unless I hitch a ride with someone, I need to go to Harrisburg.

Or York, if I go by bus.

Public Transportation... I only remember using it when we went to D.C. because of how bad parking is there.

And even then we just used the Metro.

If I want to use public transit, I go two miles into town to the transit center. The buses don't come anywhere near where I live. The closest stop is at HACC... which is two miles away. It's easier to walk into town.
