"What Are You Thinking Now?"

I think the producers of JL were placing more emphasis on him being the team's tactician and strategist. For example, how he convinced his Justice Lord counterpart that their crusade was not as righteous as they thought and he single-handedly defeated Doctor Destiny.

Why is this forum attracting so many fan game makers?

Desperation?

They see a fan community and come to advertise?

We'll never know.

I mean, I have my own fan-stuff for other series (You don't want to see it, TRUST ME) But if I was a game designer I'd at least wait until I had a working demo before announcing my project.

Gives it a little more plausibility.

ViperAcidZX

Maybe it's because of the lack of "official" Mega Man stuff happening lately and we got some fangame developers among us that it's drawing attention from other developers here, kinda like moths to a flame.

Sakura Leic

I guess but 99.9% of them just come here to say they're making a game then disappear for like 6 months or never come back.

Police Girl

This is true.

Moths to a flame, eh Viper?

Guess the flame should be... extinguished.

The only fangame I'm interested in is MMX Corrupted, but that's mainly because

a) That music sounds so SNES like.

b) Its not yet another [tornado fang]ing 8-bit style game.

c) Its been shown off, we've seen videos and it looks like it plays like an X game.

All these other ones (Save for VR because that actually did have a video come out mainly to spite me) have nothing to show.

Sakura Leic

I just don't understand that at all.

I for one am tired of all those [tornado fang]ing unoriginal 8-bit style megaman games.
I'm at the point where when I see one, it pisses me off.
Mainly because there's so many of them. Even the 8-bit like music makes me angry.

GET ORIGINAL PEOPLE! MAKE ACTUAL MUSIC WITH ACTUAL INSTRUMENTS! CAN'T YOU HAVE SOME DEGREE OF ORIGINALITY?!

[tornado fang].

And to add to that Superman thing...

Yeah, I know he's like this most of the series, but at least LATER he has some cool moments. In this opener... EVERYONE, everyone but Supes did something of actual importance.

Well, he kinda rescued J'Onn after he gave him brain damage. But that's about it.

Pyro

Well, I thought he was rather awesome  in "Hereafter" when he took on a pack of mutant wolves with only a hammer and a sword while powerless.

Should we be blunt with the ones that come here and say "Hey, we're making a Mega Man fangame!" and never say a word for a year or so? (I can see myself saying "Well [parasitic bomb], another person just advertising crap that's never gonna see the light of day...") I can get creating a decent game, fangame, fan re/demake is no easy feat (Streets of Rage Remake took Bomber Games about 8 years to finish only for Sega to give them the ban hammer but not without spread to keep the game circulating), but if you want people interested in whatever it is you're making, you better give the people something to keep their attention unless everything goes busto. MMX Corrupted better be worth all this time in development.

Protoman Blues

I, for one, love when Aquaman thinks he can take on Superman!

Hey, there we go.

On a side note this is basically my thoughts on Megaman 9 (Except the music, I love me some Megaman music, except for parts of 5 and 6's soundtracks), but I think everybody here knew that.

Oh, and I really have to watch Justice League someday, though they [tornado fang]'d Netflix over by putting the first season of JL and then the first season of JLU up, without the other seasons its kind of pointless. Oh and Batman Beyond is up too but again only the first season. Way to go, WB. I also have to wait for season two of Mystery Inc. to rear its head. The first season was simply fantastic.

Not too much, I think Sapph is waiting for you to update though.

I liked Flash the most in JL/U. Especially when he accessed the Speed Force.

And they made it seem like Batman was the only one who truly understood him. Everyone cares about him, but I think Bats appreciates him the most. It's like he said: "who could ever anticipate you?"

Rin

The be perfectly honest, me and my friend were recently working on a "Rockman clone" game, with a lot of our own elements.
And by working, I mean that we gave up somewhere after designing the main character and some brainstorming about the world and plot. Well and the gameplay mechanics too, we had them outlined.

I even suggested we post here something ONCE we have something to show.

But alas, it ended how it ended.

What I'm trying to say is, if you want to make a game, especially alone, wait before posting something on a forum. Be it asking for help or whatever, because not only does it make  you look like a pitiful and wasteful dumbass, who does not know how to do anything. But it also means that if you give up, and you most certainly give up, you will waste the time of those who actually signed up to work with your project.

Meh.

Police Girl

Yeah, when it comes to fan-work you really can't [tornado fang] over any teammates you might have.

That's why its better to work alone. Though I guess with things like writing you can't really have a team of writers.

Is it wrong I preferred Dinner Impossible over Restaurant Impossible?

I don't know I just don't feel comfortable about restaurant interventions on that scale being televised like this.  It has to add a crazy amount more stress than what those owners are feeling.  Then again I like watching Restaurant Steakout and Mystery Dinners but that is on a much smaller scale.

It's been ages since I watched the food network, but if I recall, Dinner Impossible had a "hardcore" cheesiness to it. I like cheesy. Don't think I saw Restaurant Impossible.

Speaking of food network, Good Eats is the best show of all time.

Protoman Blues

I just love seeing what some people find acceptable when it comes to running a restaurant, and the other fact that some of these people just simply have no clue what they're doing.

This along with Unwrapped and Throwdown.  I'm also warming up to Chopped better.
