I had a similar epiphany about Rudolph last night. Those bastard reindeers only started liking him after Mr. boss man needed his help.
I also had that feeling with the Grinch. All that poor bastard wanted was to sleep, but those asses in whoville care? nope, which his last resort was a plot to steal christmas, in which it was an overall success as he did steal it anyway (being the honors to cut the roast beast), revenge soon followed in Grinch Night of the next year, as the howling of the wind reminded him of christmas time.
Jack in Nightmare Before Christmas was another case entirely, we know how you feel, 'ol pumpkin king~
...Happens every year, there's always dicks around christmas time. Gee I wonder why?
"Grandpa Joe was a complete ass in 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'. He sung about Charlie's Golden Ticket like it was his own, made snide remarks about people behind their backs, and encouraged Charlie to steal Fizzy Lifting Drinks. Then he has the gall to call Willy Wonka a "monster" because he "dashed the boy’s hopes and dreams" (ie. his own hopes and dreams)? Excuse me?!
Frankly, I'm a little surprised Wonka didn't turn around and go "Remind me, who was it that encouraged young Charlie to steal my Fizzy Lifting Drinks?"
He did, in which why he felt sarcastic towards Grandpa Joe, but not charlie. After all, he was looking for a heir to his throne.
