I was at a political rally yesterday. Biggest one we've ever had at my city.

We just got free music. No other free stuff here, since this was to protest about our economy in the first place.

Lisbon. The capital. We also had protests happen everywhere in the country at the same time.

It lasted for almost the whole day. It was amazing.

I was quite sad to see an anime event took place at the same time. I went there the next day, but most people were there when the protest happened. Sucks, because this protest was about our basic rights, how obvious measures have to be taken and how certain people in the government are so obviously corrupt, we have no idea why they're not leaving right now. It was an "I Can't Take It Anymore" kind of thing. Using the same kind of online social network tactic everyone had with the Obama fever back in the american elections, we used facebook and a few other networks to pass on the message, and all appeared in the same place, at the same time, covering the entire downtown area of the city. It was amazing.

That is awful. It goes against worker's rights, basically. The most basic rights. Without unions, nobody can really vouch for any worker's rights, and they can keep getting exploited by their employees.
