I must say - and this is my own opinion here - that I'm getting quite annoyed by the immense popularity of Lucky Star. I enjoyed it at first; I thought it was cute and charming and funny. Now, though, it seems to get shoehorned nearly everywhere...constant exposure has disgruntled me to the point where I want to wring Konata Izumi's little neck. I can't even look at a bottle of shampoo without thinking of that accursed "TIMOTEI~" squawking in my ear.

And yes, I am aware of the irony/vague hypocrisy of having my name share the name of this series. As I've said before: I assure you, it is not named after the series.

Again, please remember that this is just my opinion. I am in no way outright stating it's a poor series; it just irks me.

Please don't lynch me.

So, your just angry that they are going crazy selling around ten-million different types of merchandise, this was bound to happen with the popularity. you should have known it was bound to happen.

Well, Lucky Star isin't alone, it's like that in all media. Just look at "Hannah Montana" or "Ben 10". Hell, even the goddamn Batman, and Star Wars. Even the Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man franchises all fell prey (Except the EXE Branch and the spiritual SF sequel series of EXE, dern legends).

I know that. I don't need to be reminded that it's another winning formula.

And no, I'm not "angry" because it's a successful franchise. If it's successful, good for them. I'm disgruntled because it's gotten to the point where it's impossible to avoid the series; which, in my opinion, becomes rather trite and bland after a short while.

The Batman series and original Star Wars movies told good stories, though. They don't rely on "AWWWWW KAWAII DESU~" girls rambling on about nothing in an arbitrarily Seinfeldian manner.

George Lucas realised he had a winning formula and exploited the stuffing out of it. The original trilogy, by itself, remains a fine piece of cinema.
