Rockman Dash 3

How many of you think that there is the SLIGHT possibility of a Rockman Dash 3?
Many people say that RMD happens like a bazillion years (exaggeration) after RMZX and that it might provoke a third game of the Dash series.

Any thoughts?

Well, Minoru Nakai, like basically everyone on Capcom's staff, says that they'd love to do it but the opportunity hasn't come up.

Nakai (hey, double the k and you get the name of MoTB ruins, I just noticed that) said that it's a matter of resources.  DASH is risky, and Capcom apparantly doesn't want to draw resources away from the "sure" money makers.  This is probably why Trigger makes as many cameos as he does; what's needed is something that'll get Legends a lot of attention.

I still say Trigger should have made an appearance in Smash, if Inafune would have picked up the damn phone.  If they got Fire Emblem outside of Japan that way, they could work wonders for Legends.

Seeings how that ship has sailed, maybe we can beg for the unlikely event of 5 Island Adventure being ported to WiiWare.

If they had the money, it would definitely be made. Of that, I have no doubt. The least they could do is wrap the story up. That would be nice. Although I still think they should use the original graphics. Hi-res realistic models don't fit into the DASH world, if you ask me.

Only if they make them look cleaned up, Nobody in this age will buy a game with PS1 Graphics on a Next-Gen System.

Hi-res realistic models don't fit into the DASH world, if you ask me.

Those are two separate things. Are you against good graphics, or realistic graphics? Realistic ones I can understand, but why on earth would you not want the game to look good?

Well, it's cartoony to tell you the least, but the dungeons are a little dark in some cases. (The intro stage)

True, but I think the feel should remain intact. Having the graphics upgraded to the quality of, say, Lost Planet or Dead Rising, wouldn't work at all.

Apparently, if they did do it in the form of Mario Galaxy, then I think it would probably lose some of it's charm as well. =/

What if the graphics were to be like Valkyria Chronicles? They look pretty damn good and all the characters in the game still retain an anime look.

While I agree that a more realistic look to an originally cartoonish looking game would look weird, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Having said that, I highly doubt that the Dash series will go with a more realistic approach, considering the special weapons that the series is known for.

Upgraded graphics: Sure. Not too much though.
Realistic graphics: No, doesn't fit the feel. Even the Rockman refs in Dead Rising still retained a slight cartoony feel, imo. It needs that.

Upgraded to the point or realism is too far. That's the limit. Keep one without the other. If that makes any sense to anyone else...
