Hi people, I'm new in this forum, and I want to tell you about my recent project I'm making on Multimedia Fusion 2.
It's a Mega Man X fan game, inspired in Mega Man X 1, 2 and 3 series.
I'm still in the process of finish the main engine, and here it is a video showing what I have (The video may be a little slower but it's the Computer's fault, the game runs in the original velocity):

Please comment and, if you know MMF2 and want to help, just tell me.

Thanks. :)

Edit [26/12/09]
I decided to start over again but now with Scirra Construct. People who get interested can contact me.
This is the video:

Hi, this is my new MMX video. I started again with the engine but now with Scirra Construct, I think it is better than Multimedia Fusion 2; the main feature I liked was the Platform Behavior, it's 1000x times better than MMF2.

So, this is what I have done in just 1 week, (a lot more than my older engine that I was working in an entire month).

So far I made:
- Dash System
- Wall Jumping / Slide
- Buster
- 90% of animations
- Walk on slopes

This will not be just an engine, but a fan game, which tentative title is: Mega Man X: Trashed and Scattered, based on a really good song from Avenged Sevenfold.

I hope you like it.

PS. This is a very early "beta" engine, I'm not even thinking on the story or thinks that are for the fan game, but any person who wants to help me with sprites, or something, can contact me or post, I accept any idea. (MSN: carlosrdz182@hotmail.com)

Thanks.

Ohh? Any info on your project? do you have any specific idea for the game, or are you just trying to get a good system working first?

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

First of all I want to finish the main engine. That's why I'm asking for help, because I have a little troubles with MMF2.

About the story, I haven't think about something, but I want something new, 8 bosses, new Power Ups,... I got pretty inspired from Mega Man X: Corrupted. New armors and that stuff. :)

Flame

Wow. Its amazing, that JKB's game is not even finished, yet its already inspiring others.

But thats a good thing.

Night

I'm pretty sure this was just inspired by the regular X games

Nekomata

you know what would be nice?
an X fangame in the style of Xtreme.

Hey Night ^^  >U<  Anyway, it looks good so far I can't wait to see what else you're going to put into this and I wish you the best of luck. When you start to need custom enemies and what not let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Have you ever played a game called Megaman X "Next"?

It uses the Xtreme sprites.

maelstormm was pretty cool back then. Delia was a good fit for the game too. ^^

I remember maelstormm had a sprite comic site somewhere. I'd like to read that comic again.

Thank you all for the wishes, I want to finish this even if I take more than 2 years :P Anyway I was tired of hacking SMW Roms.
I'll post more videos and screenshots when it's ready.
Well I let you this little screen. Just to show something different :P

I think X's running may be a little slow

I think X's running is the same in Mega Man X games =/
What I did was record a video of X walking of MMX from SNES, and then pasted it in the same window, then programmed the running... When comparing, looks the same.
I swear ha ha.

Night

I had a feeling that's what you did.
The speed at which X is walking looks fine, but he doesn't seem to cover very much distance.

N-Mario

Maybe this can help you?
http://tasvideos.org/MegaManXData.html

There is also one of these data tables for the original Mega Man NES games. I think it lists all the values/positions used in the game. Though mainly these values were found/used for TAS runs, from the looks of it.

Fxeni

The wall kicks seem a bit odd. The running speed seems close to the right speed, but not quite right yet.

Girla PurpleHeart

I've seen some videos about this. I'm looking forward to this project. And I didn't know that you can create your own games on Multimedia Fusion 2. I better get this program so I can create my own games. =D

On Topic, I'm looking forward to see this finished. Keep up with a good work! owob
