As if Bandanna-chu SSBB weren't enough...

It is kickass in an out-of-character way, though.

So I just saw that the Needlemouse site was for a fan project? I'm gonna laugh if it turns out better than SEGA's Project Needlemouse. XD

I'm laughing my ass off at the results no matter what XD If the fanproject is better than SEGA's, then SEGA's doing it wrong, if the whole "it's a fan project" thing was a bunch of BS by SEGA, then they're morons for thinking that would fool people.

What the...? It is a new character!?

while having almost no story outside the manual is the safest bet, i feel S3K did in game story right. the small cutscenes and transitions into new zones and acts really helped the presentation.
That they did, but they were kept very simple overall, which worked in it's favour. No dialogue whatsoever, yet you could pretty much tell what was going on anyways.
Looking back, this struck me as a major difference between the fourth and fifth Rockman World games.  The fourth game used lots of animation to show what was going on, with only a couple of conversations with Dr. Light and one with Ballade at the end.  But the fifth game's scenes were loaded down with text, and I suppose that was carried over into the main series with 7, 8, and 9.

I hope the game is as fun as the Genesis ones and will never get SA3 ever again.

Gah, I never know when people are abbreviating "Sonic Adventure" or "Sonic Advance".  But I can't think of a good way to do it when the words share so many letters.  Uh... SAtur and SAac?  Nah...

Sonic Advance is just Sonic Advanced. or cut the sonic. Sonic Adventure is more commonly abbreviated SA.
also, I woldnt mind a Sonic Adventure 3. actually, before they came up with the werehog, Unleashed was going to be SA 3.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Yeah, well, any game "could have been" Sonic Adventure 3 if Sega had just decided to call it that.

I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer, but if 2D Sonic HD fails to impress people, get ready to say sayonara to Sonic for good.

That's 3D.

If they mess up 2D, that's REALLY that.

they said it themselves. They originally set out to make Sonic Adventure 3, but in the end, they came up with Unleashed. (Actually, im certain thats why the name in japan is Sonic World Adventure. sounds almost like Sonic Adventure)

Some people will say the game is garbage regardless. It's just easy to rag on the franchise, especially when it hasn't really done much in terms of trying to rebuild itself.

Pretty much.

But if this game, some how, beats the odds, and at least does something to please 7-9 out of 10 "old heads" and critics, then it has to be doing something right.

Still, even if this game tanks, I don't see Sega abandoning Sonic. If nothing else, they know that Sonic is a franchise that kids (or rather, their parents) and suckers will continue to buy, regardless of the quality.

Well, Unleashed was a step in the right direction. Just switch out the werehog for Knuckles, and there you have it..

Well, Unleashed was a step in the right direction. Just switch out the werehog for Knuckles, and there you have it..

The reduction of new characters was also in the step in the right direction, don't forget that it's Shadow's fault 6 new characters is a few too many when they introduced Rouge, Shadow, and Big (Along with Blaze, Silver, and Marine with Chip and Cream the sidekicks, the Chaotix, hell.. even Bark, Bean, Tiara, Fang/Nack, and the two unused characters Tiara and Honey (Wonder where Mina and Ash Mongoose came from..) could make good modern comebacks).

I apologize for this, since I don't know if adding 12+ Characters to a series that's standalone with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Amy, and Metal Sonic was the best thing for the series... Could've gone the Mario route with the RPGs, but eh, who knows?

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

It looks badass now, I'm more excited for it than I am SEGA's official Needlemouse project! 8D
