After playing it, I can honestly say that was pretty terrible. I can see absolutely no incentive to play this over the original. A lot of things that it does are so obviously undo-able on the NES, so it's novelty factor is pretty much all lost. Not to mention they pretty much up and removed a ton of unique features that really made Megaman 8 what it was.

That doesn't make any sense. Just delete the old files and redownload the original full game.

You can still have Tornado Man 7, provided you keep the 256-color bitmap intact. What I'd do (what I did when I edited, actually) is back up the files you're editing before you edit them. Copy them to another folder or something. And then edit and make sure you don't save as another filetype or another type of bitmap.

Its a pity it isnt more faithful to 8. And Im actually quite shocked that theres no ending scene. after Wily, it just ENDS.
Though Im going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Its still not the final version.

Funny, I could've sworn the FC stood for FamiCom, thus completely making it the point of having it be like a FamiCom/NES game.

oh my god, the japanese 2ch community has already started on a NES rockman+forte remake....they already got tons and tons of graphics coverted from the SNES game ...and even surprise stuff from the genesis megaman wily wars game.

god im so jealous. I wish i had people to help me "full time" with graphics for my game....they've already got [parasitic bomb] loads of stuff already made.

I, for one, am glad that they've actually made castle designs for King and Dr. Wily (even though the transfer to Wily's doesn't make any sense).

On top of everything else, they've also made some NES map conversions of Time Man and Oil Man's levels!
