I dislike that they cut Frostman's stage short.
they got rid of Rush bike, and the rush calls, adding the default coil, unbalancing the game by making Tornado Hold useless in comparison.

As for the Fortress, what looks weird, is that ring on the bottom... in the remake it looks so odd...

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

I never liked RM8's rush calls, because half the time i was thinking
"I'd rather have energy tanks than Rush Health."
"I'd rather have Eddie or Weapon Tanks than Rush Charger."
"I'd rather have MM5's Beat than Rush Bomber." (mm6's beat was wimpy and couldn't fight bosses)
"I'd rather have... okay Rush Cycle is sort of cool, but I never use it."

"I'd rather have MM5's Beat than Rush Bomber." (mm6's beat was wimpy and couldn't fight bosses)
But it destroyed large stage enemies in one hit!

Also, people could say what they want about the "Jump, jump! Slide, slide!" warnings, but I actually found them to be pretty helpful. Since the Famicom remake lacks those, it's a bit harder, but maybe that's just me.
Um, they are there in the latest video, only they don't sound much like speech anymore.

The boss is slightly harder here, because instead of being able to use two weapons at once you have to switch back and forth. Sometimes, you have to wait for a mega ball to disappear before you can switch to mega buster which leads to you getting shot at.
And don't forget to anticipate the angle of the dangle!

Game didnt have E-Tanks anyway. however, Mystery Rush occasionally gives you a Yashichi!
also, Rush Health saved my ass against Wily more times than I care to remember. since he not only drops Health ups, but If I remember right, weapon ups too.

eddie will very often give you [parasitic bomb] you dont need.

Quote
"I'd rather have MM5's Beat than Rush Bomber." (mm6's beat was wimpy and couldn't fight bosses)

granted, Bomber is pretty useless.
Quote
"I'd rather have... okay Rush Cycle is sort of cool, but I never use it."
I use it all the time.

also, it doesnt matter whether you like them or not, fact is, the game was balanced with them included. shoving them all for the coil unbalances the game, since Coil is far better than Tornado hold, which is the games means of getting you up places. Thats the one thing I dislike about the retromakes these guys do. they stau unfaithfull, just for the sake of making them just like the classics. if it had stayed 8 bit, they might have even implemented 8 bit rush bike. Who knows. But if they are going to retromake it, stay faithful. thats my only real gripe.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

What happened with StormOwl?

By StormOwl, he's referring to the youtube user who had been posting the new updates on youtube. He doesn't mean the actual maverick. StormOwl's youtube mysteriously disappeared.

Let me know when your version of the remake is released. In the mean time I'm going to complain about how Harry Potter movies just "aren't enough like the books."

It's not that I'm raging, it's just like Flame said.
That bottom ring's just bugging me a bit.

Also, a question to those that played MM8.
Was Thunder Claw that difficult to use on those grabs?

Not at all. With a little timing, you could get across things without any problem. ^^b

the connecting of the thunder claw to the balls was pretty darn forgiving. and if you missed one there, you would still hit one of the other ones. there was also the gold ones that took you right to the extra life.

I found a glitch [eyebrow]
To do it:
1.-You need to buy the ''EXIT'' item
2.-Go to any cleared stage
3.-When you reach a point when the screen starts scrolling (in the middle of the scrolling), pause it and leave the stage
4.-Go to another stage, reach a scrolling point
5.-?????
6.-PROFIT!
Can someone report this glitch?

Are you sure the Frostman Stage will be cut short or is that just becuz its in demo mode?  Last time I checked out this FC was 2 months ago and I told myself that it probably won't be done in a year, and I'm not spoiling myself my checking it out further.  I hope the fundamental physics were fixed and the max firing was set back.   Still mad props to the MM7 FC that dood saved MM7.

They put the boss room halfway in. they probably thought it was too long.

Unless someone cares to check and see.

So wait... what?

The game features Rush Coil *AND* Mega Ball? -AC

I thought half the point to Mega Ball was being a more effective/versatile "Rush Coil" to begin with! And a funner one too. Because face it... it IS. And... weird how they stuck with all 45-degree angles. (Did they?) I preferred the 30/60s, myself. But hey, I haven't played it yet.

Removing Rush Bike in favor of Jet makes some kind of sense. But Bike is still pretty fun, and isn't it key in speed runs? (If not, how come?)

So with the latest betas they've been throwing out, they have all the image and sound effect data in a BIN file, at least that's what I figure. The standard "create a CUE file" method to open it doesn't work, so as of now I've been unable to see if the graphics can be altered in the way that 7FC's could. Anybody figure out how to open the BIN file?
