This word for word. I understand that they are trying to stretch their creative limits and such, but come the hell on. Net thing you know there'll be a Mario game with him fighting Bowser to death for real. XD

New Super Mario Bros' first castle level? Seriously, that was slightly traumatizing.

Id say it wont have death of Disney characters.. so far, the revenge thing sounds the most plausible.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Spoiler Alert: “Epic” November Issue Revealed

The rumors have been flying for months. From the outrageous (some actually thought we were bought by Disney, which was quite funny), to the right on (our forums pieced together all the clues from the last issue), the time has come to lay all rumors to rest. The November cover is indeed, Disney Epic Mickey, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Wii from Junction Point and Disney Interactive Studios.

This issue is the first of our highly anticipated redesign that subscribers should be receiving around October 12th.

There are a number of other highlights, including a Skate 3 first-look, an in-depth, seven-page report on the relationship between Hollywood and video games, interviews with executives from all three console manufacturers, and much, much more.

But the biggest news is our expanded coverage online that is available to all gameinformer.com visitors. Starting at 4PM CST today we will unveil the first companion piece to the magazine: an exclusive video interview with Warren Spector about his relationship with Mickey Mouse, including a portion of his giant Disney memorabilia collection that is housed at Junction Point. We will also have a photo-blog chronicling many of the outstanding pieces in his collection hitting at the same time.

This is just the beginning of our month of Mickey madness that will unfold over the next three plus weeks. So be sure to watch our Disney Epic Mickey landing page over the following month.

We don’t want to spoil what’s to come, but we have some amazing things in store, including screenshots, animations, and tons of concept art and music.

Watch for the issue in your mailbox over the coming weeks and make sure to come to gameinformer.com for the latest updates and news.

Oh yeah, and one last thing. All GI covers from here on out will feature a full wrap-around cover. Here is the Mickey cover in all its glory. The best part, and the reason we switched to these, is that the subscriber address label and the UPC will be on the back so it no longer clashes with our wonderful cover art.

Is it my imagination or is there a rabbit figure in the graveyard? Oswald?

I'm more curious about that "thing" on the right. A much more beastly version of the Phantom Blot, or something?

Either way, this is SO mine when it lands. Screw the haters.

Well, now, the idea that these hellish creations came from Maleficent, Hades, etc. is much, much better.

I think that it needs to be even more basic a style, and less ghoulish, than that magazine cover art depicts.

I don't know it looks quite ghoulish to me but then again I am not an artist so I wouldn't know.

Someone should really put Mickey back in the freezer, he's melting.

I don't know it looks quite ghoulish to me but then again I am not an artist so I wouldn't know.

That's right, it already does, but it shouldn't be that way. Go too artsy, and your game goes the way of Muramasa and Odin Sphere. But go too basic, in this case, and become a commercialized churn out.

It needs a good, happy medium where it can be a stylish, but defined game where your platforms, hitboxes, and objectives are crystal clear; certainly every little bit helps in a world such as THAT.

Way to say a whole lotta nothing, Warren. BOOOOOOO! GET OFF THE STAGE!

Nah, jk. Boy...that's a scary thought, gaming only being 30 years old. No wonder we're such pros; most of us have probably been gaming from its public day one, or something very close. Granted, we weren't there to pioneer it like Atari or Nintendo's guys, but look at the "We can rebuild them; we have the ideas" thread, or the countless Sonic fans who know what they want.

We're gold.

I'm not able to watch the video at the moment, but it seems like that GI is going to drag the info about this game for an extra 3 weeks >< bastards, at least tell us what the damn plot is! It seems like nothing new is known, but if the video proves me wrong, then just wait until I can watch it and I'll edit this accordingly <.<

Yeah, that's from the Disney event they're having there on that day. Apparently, this game is going to usher in something of a revolution in terms of Disney. Alos, there's a great article out now on the history of Mickey Mouse that I think you all should read from Game Informer. It kinda sheds some new light on what the guys are trying to do now, and after reading it, I'm now completely convinced that they'll do it well.

A revolution, eh? Less focus on popstars-of-the-minute and more on quality entertainment, and more films based on lores instead of sequels?

Somehow, I doubt it.

Same here. This is going to be a one time deal.

Until they make a sequel to this.

Speaking of Disney, I watched Enchanted last night.  Holy [tornado fang], that movie was brilliant.
