...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

The Drunken Dishwasher

There's also the possibility that this Wolverine is based on that Yoshitaka Amano graphic novel he did.

or well, they're just basing it on one of the feudal-ish-japanese setting Wolverine has been in...

The Wolverine one is complete bullshit and I refuse to accept it.
Ironman one is awesome, therefore I will be awaiting it.

Wait, how the [tornado fang] did I miss this topic? That Iron Man trailer is made of concentrated awesome. The Wolverine, not so much. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt though since it's supposed to be a different take and still a WIP.

Sapphire✧9

I'll watch both. But the Wolverine one just looks... meh! its disgusting.

One thing's for sure: any X-Men-related series that has Rogue, they'll butcher her character. Nothing I've seen has done it worse than the movies, though. Rogue in the old cartoon from the 90's kicked ass, though.

100% agreed. XD

Gaia

Let's add the fact that you-know-who with the red shades often gets left out (meaning, he has little use and mostly focuses on Wolverine) until the rouge lovey-dovey arc comes along.. and from what I remember, he was there to get the ladies in the seats in the X-Men series of movies.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Psycho Yuffie

Who cares about Cyclops? He's a douchebag. Always has been.

No. A real douchebag is Professor Xavier.

REVIVAL TIME

QuoteThe first episode of MADHOUSE's Iron Man anime series will have its world premiere at Comic-Con International, which will run in San Diego from July 22 to July 25. The Animax anime television channel has also announced that the anime will then hold its television premiere on Animax in Japan on Friday, October 1 at 10:00 p.m. Marvel Entertainment had previously stated that the 12-episode series would premiere during the second quarter (April-June) of the year. Marvel Anime: Iron Man and Marvel Anime: Wolverine  were slated to air in the United States next year.

Marvel Entertainment had revealed in August of 2008 that it was working with MADHOUSE on four series with Marvel's stable of comic book characters. (The other two projects will center on Blade and X-Men.) Masao Maruyama, the co-founder of MADHOUSE, offered a video preview of its Iron Man and Wolverine work at Comic-Con International last July.

Hiryu

The wolverine one... really doesn't look like wolverine at all.  >0< It just looks like they made a new anime series and decided to give the main character retractable claws in his skin. I'd call it: Izumo: Phantom Ghost Hunter.

Nevertheless, I won't count it out due to it's strangeness. It has a strong anime flavor.

As for Ironman, all I can say is "Spectacular, Spectacular, Spectacular!" Hopefully, it'll be worth the hype I feel from the teaser.

Remember that sweet, smooth, fully hand-drawn Iron Man trailer before?

They [tornado fang]'d it up:

Oh God dammit. Everything looks like clunky CG now.

This can't be the same thing....can it?

It looks so terrible now.

OKAY, apparently from what my friend tells me, the MadHouse Iron Man series is similar to Batman: Gotham Knight, in that it has different art/stories/directors & such for each episode. I really hope that's the case.

Flame

whoo... my heart nearly stopped there. If that's the case, then thank heavens.

Also, if thats the case, then I take it It will go between Iron man 2 and upcoming 3.
that trailer DID have warmachine after all...

...oh God dammit... seriously, I'm getting tired of these compilations. Yes, each individual episode of Animatrix, Gotham Knight or anime Halo is impressive, but they're not connected in any way, and it's annoying to just go buy some DVD for an unconnected pile of features you watch for awhile and then never touch again. Why can't we have an ACTUAL show?

Cause Marvel would [tornado fang] it up like that have 75% of their shows?

They'd just have to give it to Madhouse and give them a story like Extremis to adapt. Plus, Iron Man shows actually have a history of being generally good.

Hell yeah. And I watched it a looooong time ago, so memories may be fuzzy. Heck, I was one of the people who liked the 90's Spider-Man animated series.
