Pardon if I'm a loser and can't read, but I didn't see any threads that directly had to do with him and his movies, so I thought there was a need for one. Here it is.

Well, I suppose his most famous film is Spirited Away. At least that's the one I've heard the most about (since it even reached us here in the north where polar bears walk the streets) and it was the first one I watched. Just today I saw The Cat Returns (he wasn't the director in this one, but one of the producers) and it was great. Studio Ghibli is an amazing group.

Now to list the movies I've seen where Miyazaki was involved:
- Spirited Away
- Princess Mononoke
- The Cat Returns
- Howl's Moving Castle
- My Neighbour Totoro
- (Laputa:) Castle in the Sky
- NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind

Quite a lot of them. And just a couple of years ago, I remember I didn't like anime at all. I am a nerd.  8D

Nausicaa & the Valley of the Wind is still my favorite work from him, but really, all his stuff is pretty much gold.  Not only that, but the soundtracks are so good as well.

Well, I have to add that I don't really hate Anime at all anymore  :P

Although there's nothing that's like his movies. Can't say they got sloppy anywhere at all.

Yeah, I have the soundtracks from Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke on my cell phone.

funfact, he is a [tornado fang]ing creepy person.

For shame, you left out Porco Rosso, the goddamn anthro pig who can fly a plane which inspired Metaboss from M&L3 due to similar personalities.

It's one of his works too.

Totoro's one of the more memorable anyway..

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

The rest is... meh.

Nice animation though.

Sadly, I haven't watched it yet. I'll get to it as soon as possible, if it makes you happy person.

I don't really like these animes that stretch over several seasons *cough*pokemonetc.*cough*. To me, they just get boring and the same things just happen over and over again. Of course, it's the same with all of the more popular series. They just keep going.

I prefer short ones that follows a certain story more. They're usually the best, according to me. And films, they're just better. In a smaller package, the things inside has to be packed closer together.

Bleh, I'm rambling again. Anyway, that's why I like his films, I think. Oh, and they're extremely well made.

I like Princess Mononoke Theme song. Mystic & calming. Crystalis a.k.a God Slayer has some NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind references. That's all I can say.

Ive seen Spirited Away and the Cat Returns. I burned TCR actually.
The guy has awesome animation quality. the animations in TCR, especially the cats themselves, were incredibly smooth.

What I watched.

- Nausicaa
- Princess Mononoke
- Kiki's delivery service
- Grave of the firefly (super depressing movie this is)
- Spirited Away
- Howl's moving castle
- and lastly Ponyo (bit too lighthearted, but nice visual as usual)
