I wanted to find time to look all over the internet and see what's happening on both the Japanese and English sides of the Rockman/Mega Man community, so from today and once every week (hopefully then or whenever possible), I will find some interesting things to collect and later post about them here. And yea, I'll be posting good things about our affiliate sites too, when there are things to discuss, plus other websites or blogs that are Rockman-related. ^^

For now I have something for everyone.

About 5 days ago, our friendly Japanese blogger Tarbo-san (also known for running the Cocorog blog), has posted 2 video clips on Youtube about Rockman EXE music. What's so special with these music tracks is that they are the Main Themes from as many of the games in the series, composed with the Nintendo DS game Daigasso! Band Brothers DX.

The songs that are composed on Band Brothers DX are listed here:
- Battle Network Rockman EXE (GBA)
- Rockman EXE WS (WSC)
- Rockman EXE Transmission (GCN)*
- Battle Network Rockman EXE 2 (GBA)
- Battle Network Rockman EXE 3 (White)/Black (GBA)
- Rockman EXE Battle Chip GP (GBA)
- Rockman EXE N1 Battle (WSC)
- Rockman EXE 4: Tournament Blue Moon/Red Sun (GBA)
- Rockman EXE 4.5: Real Operation (GBA)
- Rockman EXE: Phantom of Network (Cell Phone) !!!
- Rockman EXE 5: Team of Blues/Colonel (GBA)
- Rockman EXE 5 DS: Twin Leaders (NDS)*
- Rockman EXE: Legend of Network (Cell Phone) !!!
- Rockman EXE 6: Cyber Beast Gre(i)ga/Falzer (GBA)
- Rockman EXE 7 (TUS)

* Games that are crossed over aren't in the playlist.

It's not everyday you get to hear music from the two Japan-exclusive cell phone games.
You can download these tracks from RPM now. ^^

The EXE Themes in that video are pretty accurate, which is great.  Man, I was so sad when they took away the main theme from EXE after EXE3.  It's still my favorite opening.

God that theme is a nostalgia bomb to me, because I listen to it only every once in a while (not like stuff from Classic and X, which is practically everywhere I look)

Sounds great, especially for people who don't know much about the Rockman Community, such as me :P As for that remix that was also posted, can't hear it since my Wii won't load the video :\ although, I don't/wouldn't know any of the songs anyways.

I listen to more Classic than anything else, but I always enjoyed EXE's music.  Well, mainly 1-3 & especially Network Transmission.

Things I learned from this:
-The WS game's theme is Kaze wo Tsukinukete (damn it, now I have to listen to it and the other OPs again XD)
-Battle Chip GP's them is awesome, can't believe I never paid attention to it.
-I love Phantom of the Network's them.

Overall, I really liked this recreations, great job to the one that did them.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Band Brothers DX? I'll look into it sometime, these remixes are nostalgia rush for me, too bad Black ver. was Jap only, while we got Blue instead..

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

"Look ma, I'm roadkill, hahahaa!" - The Mask

I was talking version wise, like it was mostly released due to time and names, or they took the route of the first three Pokemon games (make that four, if counting the origional Green Version).

Things brought up in this topic that I have to say something about:

- The EXE/Battle Network music is very underrated. Some of the themes in it are really on par with the best of the other Megaman/Rockman games, and for a series with such awesome music, that says a lot. Also, you are now hearing the awesome Battle Network 2 Boss Theme and agreeing with me. XD

- Blue & White is to USA as Black and Orange is to JPN.

- This topic is cool, I hope more comes from it soon!

Very, very interesting idea Vixy.
And what a way to kick things off... I may not be an EXE fan, but those tunes there, really nice.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

I suggest that everyone gives the EXE and Shooting Star series a second chance. They really are great games, have fun stories, interesting characters and great music. You don't have to collect everything if that makes you tired. And the secret bosses are fun to fight against too. ^^ </wii>

See, there in lies my one problem with the EXE games.  If I replay them, I lose all the chips and stuff I collected already.  That's have I haven't really gone back and played them.  Although, I'd probably skip 4 & 6.

One problem i had with SF was the music.

It just wasn't as memorable or well orchestrated as the EXE music (or any other megaman game for that matter).
