Blue Shells on the ready.
One thing that has done nothing but [acid burst] me off about Sega is how they have NO OTHER SERIES that they are willing to whore out on. Think about it: Nintendo has GOD knows how many franchises, and the same applies to Capcom, Namco, Shonen Jump, Nippon Ichi, and Atlus. True, some of those companies show some favoritism towards certain series, but they still have a good chunk of others that they do update. Sonic has pretty much been the one thing Sega has been putting out for quite some time, with FEW exceptions, but even THEN it really depends on how you look at Sega making the game (I don't know who exactly made Mad World, but Platinum games is behind Bayonetta). I mean, there's: Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, Sonic Riders, Sonic 360, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Rivals. Seriously, WHAT other games have they made? Billy Hatcher, Samba De Amigo, Space Channel Five, Mad World...that's all I can remember lately. Even if there are a lot more lately, the fact is Sega does nothing but push out Sonic games at blinding speed.
I hope that Nintendo just buys out Sega and then let the Mario magic revive Sonic. After all, whenever we get an actual Mario game, it's almost worth the wait between each one and wadding through the swamp that the party/cross-over whore titles fill up.
