At the very least, Roxas was named by Xemnas. It was seen in KHII Final Mix+ and the intro for 358/2. It was never said if Marluxia or Axel went through the same process.

anyway. they never say if the "non founder" members have modified version of their original names, but every thing point that, maybe because roxas is a part of sora, a wielder of a nice an shiny keyblade , a useful tool in xemnas plan to gather hearts, he deserved a special treat. the rest have names from zero

With all those secret reports scattered throughout the series, i would be quite surprised if they haven't delved into the naming process. Yeah, i know about the "X" in each Organization member's name. But did Xemnas name them first-hand?

I've read through most of them in KH2 and some others posted on the web. But that's about it. Nomura loves hinting at character origins in those reports, so it's possible the answer is in one of those games... somewhere.

Ahem. Now that I've played and beaten BbS, I'm ready for DDD. Also, replaying the original makes for an interesting timeline. Such as how quickly Radiant Garden fell to darkness.

I always thought Terranort was the absolute best part of the story. Ven's story was disappointing, nothing but friendship mumbo-jumbo (which was milked more than Terra and Aqua's plot line). The revelation of his "light" going inside Sora was really cool though.

Also, i find it funny that those three "un-interesting" events you mentioned were some of the most vital parts of the game's story. :/

I loved how that was Sora's inheritance to the keyblade, and Terra's was to Riku.
Sqenix is really good at fleshing out things like that. I loved how the secret ending for re:Coded went: [spoiler]Now that Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and Xemnas are defeated, Master Xehanort can return.[/spoiler] It made sense, but had never occured to me previously.

That has nothing to do with it. Remember, Sora stole Riku's in the first one? There has been nothing of yet that contradicts it.

Riku was able to hold Sora's keyblade (at Hollow Bastion) for a brief moment, the fact that they both were able to hold *a* keyblade.
This was because Terra committed his keyblade to Riku, alongside Aqua committing hers to Kairi, when Terra and Aqua arrived at the Destiny Islands. Ventus' broken heart connected to Sora, as Superdee said above with the 'light', which did the same thing as the other two.

EDIT: Right, I didn't know that Terra/Riku's keyblade was the one that appears on Destiny Islands when the Darkside attacks.

No, the Keyblade in the first game is definitely Riku's. The Key is first summoned by Riku, but he gets swept away to Hollow Bastion so it automatically goes to Sora.

When they meet up in Traverse Town, Riku is able to hold onto the Keyblade without Sora being able to take it back (like he does previously with Leon) because it belongs to Riku, but he gives it back.

Later in Hollow Bastion, he's able to summon it off Sora because it belongs to him, but it eventually chooses Sora over him because he has the stronger heart.

I'm pretty sure the first game explains this, but if you haven't played it in awhile it'd probably be an easy detail forget.

BBS is refreshing in terms of story and gameplay but it opens just as many holes as it closes. I sort of of have a love/hate with this game, I like its challenging gameplay and story but I hate how it completely made the first game irrelevant to the storyline. THe Heartless were just a joke after KH1.

Yeah, the KH series became like that since 2. In fact, Nomura outright stated that KH3D will "leave players guessing" about certain events that will transpire in the game. The thing is, it was done this way for the sake of speculation. They want fans to theorize and discuss about who is who, what is what (etc.) I'll be the first one to say that i don't find all those riddles spouted out throughout the series to be annoying.

Sure they can be "WTF?", but by the time the Xehanort saga is over, everything should wrap up nicely.

I do hope KH3 (not 3Ds) to have a journal/encyclopedia similar to MGS4Database and the Xenosaga 3 Database<3
