Isn't it just convenient that they have an incredibly appropiate franchise for that already?

Btw, did they ever find a way around the whole "never gonna play this with CFW ever even if you have the original UMD" thing? I really want to play this AND keep my CFW =/

Honestly, outside of emulators, I see no reason to keep PSP homebrew these days.

It has been playable on 5.50 GEN for some months with a bit of file decrypting. Not sure about the USA version.
Decrypt EBOOT.BIN and the BBS1,2,3 DATs, add some specific plugins and you're all set. ^^;

ISO works on an earlier CFW, but of course, not the UMD itself (which I tried). UMD runs on 6.20. x3

I've played the japanese ISO already with the patch. I'm waiting for the english version, however. If Nomura's gonna ruin the franchise for me, at least I want him to do it right.

Anyway, dickitude aside, I thought the spoiler was pretty brain breaking myself. I'm still excited about the story and it's presentation in BBS, so no worries Mirby. Not everyone is gonna [acid burst] all over your parade.

Since I already finished everything in the Japanese version (that I bought way back in January) on Proud Mode, I picked Critical Mode this time. It has the Final Mix feeling that I love so much in KHII Final Mix. ^^b

I like all the dialogues and there are bugs and glitches that has been fixed from the Japanese version.
This version feels more complete than the original BBS.

Only a decryption patch with a ISO Tool. It works fine on 5.50 GEN-D3.
There's some prepatched ISOs on Megauploads and torrents. ^^;

You don't need any extra plugins. Turn off the old KHBBS (J) plugin.
The prepatched ISO that has a Install Data icon seem to work the best right now.

I'm using the version from Bitgamer. It's the version Vixer talked about, with the installed patch and everything. It's running pretty well.

Playing with Terra so far. It all seems like very much a Kingdom Hearts game. I only have one concern.



[spoiler]...soooooooooooooooo many of the interactions in the game have been DIRECT Star Wars quotes of Palpatine/Anakin interactions when it comes to Terra and Xehanort.

Seriously, some of those conversations are pretty much DIRECT quotes, except changing names and terms.[/spoiler]

So I ripped audio from the USA version again, and much to my surprise:
It ripped me more music than last time... wat?

I think there are even the themes, that I couldn't get from the eleven version.

Just like Critical Mode in KHII Final Mix, enemies give you more damage and you get only half the max HP you normally get. ^^;

Zero EXP ability is in the beginning of Critical Mode too, so you can beat the game at LV1.

And yea, like KHII Final Mix, SquEnix decided to add crowns for you to collect in this game too.
