Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

May I make a suggestion?

In the Rockman 7 FC version, Rockman's weapon change doesn't use pallete swapping. Instead, Rockman's sprite sheet is copied, and given different colors. You could change what Rockman looks like when he changes weapons with this, which is impossible if you're hacking a game.

Gaia: Oh come slow. I stopped programming for the engine because I dont have enough meterial and information to do it. I will start doing the actual game when N64mario finishes the engine. This thread is only for meterial and sprite progress showcase for now. So, I'm just waiting for N64mario to start it. And he is right. Engine still needs aLOT work before it becomes open source. The videos you guys watched are only finished stuff and well played. So, you cant see glitches or other things in the videos.

Rock Bomb: Well, MMF2 already have pallete change feature. There's no need to use sprite changing. It is not necessary to have same pallete between weapons and sprites because they are different objects. I can make blue/red and have the weapon black/white. It doesnt really matter.

Well, you could try programming fortress bosses using regular boss data, at least that's how I think capcom made their fortress bosses, Black Devil in X5 is basically recycled data of the YD with extra bits of data.

I guess, well, I mean, he could've kicked it old school and use six masters instead of eight.. or four in the MM7 style.

I uploaded it because I wanted to show you guys that only title screen is 100% complete (programming wise). I dont want to hype people. So, you guys better stop about asking when the game will be ready. Its no where near beta states.

Wouldn't programming fortress bosses be just the same as programming minibosses, and robot masters? The difference being you don't gain weapons from them, and they explode differently (much like how my powmettaur miniboss explodes).
Have any particular request for a fortress boss example? I was thinking of just a Dr. Wily fight alone. Maybe couple of forms or something i donno.
I suppose I could try the yellow devil, but that would require multiple 16x16 active objects to make it look right. Although MMF2 has a paste backdrop feature to cut out parts of yellow devil. But still I donno.

Are these still mock ups? I can't tell by the way you're using megaman's mm9 colors. X_X

Looks good though, if you're still doing these, maybe a few mock ups of hte robot master fights, perhaps? ;)
