...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Protoman Blues

Ugh....I suppose so.  I better get some free [parasitic bomb] though...

Flame

Oh my. I dont know if this has been posted here yet, but the animated endings have all been removed for the US version, to be replaced with stills by Udon.
This actually pisses me off, really.

Meh, that's no big deal.  I can view those endings anytime I want on YouTube or in my Japanese copy of the game.  Now I get new endings, and I like Udon's art.  I'm hoping it leads to a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Udon book in the future.

Flame

Im sorry, but stills will never be better than fully animated scenes. What pisses me off is that more than "licensing issues" its probably more of a lazyness issue, since they would need to hire the animators to make new scenes for the new characters, and the cheaper alternative, is simply cutting all the animations and having Udon, (who's worked with them before,) just do stills.
I cant see why there would be any legal issues when there are no out of game character endings...

So, you're pissed that a business....is acting like a business and finding a cheaper alternative to a game in which the Arcade fighting aspect matter much, much more to people than the endings of the single player mode?

Flame

Im not saying Im not going to by it or anything, it just bothers me.

Keep in mind, this is the same guy who said after MM10's reveal "Classic is dead to me."

They're not replacing animated endings with still endings, they're replacing still endings with different still endings and removing the console only animated part of the endings possibly because of license/money issues.

The good news: New characters via DLC may be an option for the future.

The bad news: Tatsunoko is a bit uneasy about some characters being used. Samurai Pizza Cats and Mospeada aren't going to show up any time soon.

Oh, when Lou sees that Mospeada news....

More good news: The game has already shipped and if you're lucky like some people I've seen you'll be able to find a store today that didn't notice or care that it's street dated.
