Chem labs [tornado fang]ing suck.

Also, the new TMNT 2012 show is pretty decent.

I learned today, or rather was reminded, that everyone I ever give a [tornado fang] about is going to abandon me without warning the moment I inconvenience them in some way, be it disagreeing with them, making them uncomfortable, or simply wanting to be their friend.

It's been too long since I played 9. What am I supposed to see exactly?

I am 100% certain there is more to this story than your vague statement tells.

Yup.

Maybe I should start up that public-use rant thread I was thinking of starting...

Go for it.  I don't think we have one, yet.  And if we do, it's buried so deep that it no longer matters and I have no urge to go look for it.

The theme before you enter Wily's Castle in Mega Man 10 has a specific sequence of notes that play in Wily Stage 0.5 (the name of the track outside the castle) then the actual Wily Stage 1 music (once you enter). The video demonstrates an isolation of that part, changing it into the instrument used in the original composition (or close to it) and adding instruments slowly until it made the completed track. All it's showing is that the composer hid this sequence of notes in both tracks.

The music in the rain is inside the rest of the level's music, you mean? Or at least a large part of it? I get it now. Funny it never clicked. I guess that means they did a good job working it.

I learned that there is another eye-pressure test that some doctors are using that involves drops and a slit lamp to look inside the eye.  However, my eye doctors don't use it.  Nope, it's either the standard air puff test or the metal probe test.  Personally, I prefer the metal probe test, where they put drops in your eyes to numb them, and then poke the cornea with a metal probe to gauge eye pressure.  Not quite as annoying as that air puff test.

Just you young'uns wait.  You'll reach the age where you'll be complaining about that glaucoma test, too.  Or about having to get your yearly flu shot.  Or getting an EKG standard with your physical.

Flu shots are a scam the government came up with to ensure that the general public continues to waste money on their ineffectual over-the-counter medicine due to the shot giving you the effects of the flu or worse when you get it.

What's the method of testing eye pressure that uses magnets? They can tell how wide your cornea is with that one.

Apparently that's a test that only specialists use around here.  I had to go two counties over to my specialist for my eye surgery.  That was where they did the metal probe poke test.  Even for a routine eye exam, I'd have several different types of drops put in, my eyes poked and prodded, light shown in them, I'd be looking through prisms and reading random letters...

My other eye doctor recommended vision therapy, as my eyes don't work together very well. :/

Are you nearsighted, Quickman? I assume you get your pressure checked often too because of severe myopia

I'm nearsighted, but it's not that bad.  I don't need too much correction.

Anywho, I learned that if you don't hold onto the picture hanger with one hand while pulling the sticky tab with the other, the damn thing will snap back and bite your hand.  I have a nasty bruise on my finger now and it hurts like the dickens to type.

I'm terribly nearsighted. Have to worry about possible retina detachment and all that fun stuff.

Are you developing film in a dark room? That's so [tornado fang]ing cool.

I put some film in my Polaroid, but it hasn't kept well over the years. Some pretty neat trippy designs wind up getting produced, though.

I did that back in the day at school and when my dad would turn the bathroom into a darkroom, but no, I was repositioning a wall hanger and moving a picture in my living room.  Someone put a nice pic of some koi out for trash pick-up, so I brought it back and hung it up.

What's a koi? I could look it up, but I'm sure your description will be much more delightful.

Ornamental carp, usually kept in garden ponds.  Similar coloration as goldfish (which are also a type of carp), though koi bodies are more torpedo-shaped and they have small whiskers at the corners of their mouths.

The picture I got curbside special is a large print of a watercolor painting.  It goes nicely with the tiger wall scroll that I have already, so I moved my Giger poster from my living room and put the koi in its place.  Opens up the room more, too.

My room looks like a 12 year old's. I have a Dragon Ball wallscroll with Goku and Chi Chi taking Gohan sledding, a Mega Man 10 wallscroll, Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Lady Gaga.

Last cool thing I trashpicked was one of those wheels with the dollies and the thing that goes clack clack clack like at a carnival.

My bedroom has Star Wars posters all over.  :P  It's only my living room that I change the decor in.  Though, it does have a B-wing starfighter, my Zuckuss mini-bust, my lightsaber, a plushy four-sided die, and a giant Batman figure that I sometimes put hats on...

Plushy d4? Awesome. We should play D&D here with an automatic dice roller and stuff.

Batman hats sounds like good old fashioned fun. I have some toys - I still haven't unpacked all of them - set up on my bookcase. Michael Keaton Batman is one of them. Doomsday is another. And then there's 3 X models. Gaea, All X, and X3 Max Armor. Oh, and a giant chicken.

I have one Star Wars poster. It's the rock show, with 3PO on dual keyboards.

I learned two things today.  During the same span of time!
- I learned that "Manual Labor" isn't just the name of your groundskeeper.
- I learned what it feels like to be shot in the gut with a rock.

We were doing up much-needed upkeep on our property today.  I moved a lot of wood and yanked/chopped a lot of weeds.  My associate also chopped weeds, but with riding mower.  I just happened to be standing several feet away when apparently, a rock got lodged in the in-take and was subsequently propelled at my side.  It hurt for a couple minutes, but was fine after.  It did leave a nice, pink welt, though.  :3

Our yard and garage has never looked so nice before, I swear.  Granted, we only cleaned up the yard because our insurance company suggested it (apparently, random garbage and machinery outside of the garage located in a house in the middle of a forest is considered a "tripping hazard"...), but the end results, I feel, were totally worth the two hours of effort.
