I hope the part about not catching Red Gyarados isn't true. I loved using that monster on the Elite Four.

Again, grain of salt on all of that. That's a lot of information on a title that's otherwise just been revealed, with some stuff from the 50% point of the total game. I think they're all just shots in the dark and more of them are safe guesses than anything else. These guys aren't exactly very credible.

Before the 7th gym, Mahogany Gym, you can catch Red Gyarados in the Lake of Rage to the north.

Just a thought, but does anyone want the Johto Gym Leaders and Elite Four to be tougher? That's one of my complaints with GS. They were all pushovers if you ask me.

Well, as has seemingly become a trend with the remakes, the Elite Four close down and become harder a little later. This also happened in FR and LG while you're off frolicking on the Sevii Islands and again in Platinum while exploring Stark Mountain. It's no doubt they'll pull something similar to Platinum again... maybe even an upgrading Red?

About the E4, I'd say that I hope not, it's what made me stop playing FR/LG, I always used the E4 to level up and evolve pokemon to complete the dex, but with freaking Lorelei overpowering me and with nowhere else to train I gave up. Then again, this are the Johto E4, they'd be weak anyways.

Sounds a lot better than a trainer that's a complete pushover if you can be bothered training your guys. I mean, he'll still need EV'd pokemon/a much better chosen moveset/better choice in pokemon/AI that isn't terrible, but, y'know, at least it'd be something.

Red with a level 100 team would be lovely. I would say throw in some legendaries in to the mix as well since, outside of the Battle Frontier, no trainer has used a legendary pokemon.

Only works if your Pokemon are lvl100 as well.
And even then, you have 30% accuracy.
Just hit hard, one-hit KO moves are not worth it.

I've never been too fond of one-hit KO moves. There's a few Pokemon where they could be nice, namely anything that knows Lock On or similar, but two turns to take out a Pokemon is a little risky, especially using a move with really low accuracy.

What I hate is how the higher you go in the battle tower, the higher their accuracy goes up for the computer player. One time, a streak of mine ended at 79 because a blasted Rhyperior came out and Fissured or Horn Drilled all three of my pokemon first move.
