Wifi events have been announced.

For those that have HGSS, from November 11th to November 23rd, Mew will be downloadable via Mystery Gift over the Nintendo WiFi connection.
It will be lvl5, and have the Premier Ribbon.
However, no news on whether this Mew will have any special effect in-game.

ALSO!
From November 27th to January 11th, the Engima Stone will be downloadable via Mystery Gift over the WiFi as well.
If you take this stone to the Pewter City Museum, it will activate the Soul Dew and allow Latios to appear in HG, or Latias in SS.

One more interesting tidbit.
HGSS has revealed the Forme names for Cherrim.
The normal form of Cherrim all closed up is called Negative Forme, while the form of Cherrim under the effect of Sunny Day is called Positive Forme.

My friend got in on my M3 he's currently borrowing because my DS is broken because Nintendo make hardware quite like they used to, so I got to see like the opening & hear some music.

What's with the chick's retarded hat? It's like a bad trip of Ruby's stupid hat.

The battle music sucks. It's all happy go lucky like Diamond & Pearl, which I'm a little sick of.

Anybody know where we could find a translation of the first menu? There's a bunch of choices, & one just makes nice music & send us back to the top menu.

Night

All trainer battle theme have been "happy go lucky"...and D&P's, HGSS's Battle theme are great!

I like the hat. D :

OH SURE. NINTENDO SHOULD TOTALLY PUT IN SOME GRIMDARK MUSIC. SOME BLACK METAL MAYBE?

Meh, it's not that bad. Actually, better than D&P. Still, most of the other battle themes are awesome.
/v/ are [Top Spin]s for complaining about the music.

There should be FEW translations on GBATemp forum, in the NDS Hacking & Translation section.

It's not that, I just don't like the instruments. What's wrong with real music at this point anyway? How about a guitar & bass, with some nice drums, maybe?

Why? Because it looks awesome. I can't really say it... it just looks good on her.

Well, I got used to those instruments. They suit Pokemon. When I think "Pokemon music", I think of this kind of music.
Tough, yeah. It wouldn't be bad if they used some MORE real instruments.

STM

Obvious solution to music problem: Mute DS > Load up mp3 player of choice with favorite music > ??? > PROFIT!

Solution: GB Player D:
Eh, I can't say it's horribly accurate...sure, I'll say 90%, but some songs suffered. But point, no less.

How? When? All the real Pokémon games had bleeps & boops, & then came gen 3 with its obnoxiously large amount of 7 games, all with blegh music IMO. I think gen 4's a step in the right direction in the music department. Now only if they could start using beautiful hand-drawn sprites...

Gen 3's music was downright horrible.  There may have been 1 or 2 decent songs, but as a whole it's forgettable.  DPPt has actually had some pretty memorable tunes.

The GB player looks pretty interesting, and I'm glad I'll get to hear some of the newer songs in 8-bit as well.

Magma/Aqua Base has one of the most amazing bass lines in Pokemon. That's pretty much it though.

Rin

I liked the battle themes from Gen 3. Especially the Team Magma battle theme.

Also, yeah. Diamond, Pearl & Platinum has some very sweet music.

Also, "VS Deoxys" from FireRed/LeafGreen is [tornado fang]ing win.

Give me the old EV system (which is actually a system of Status Experience) of the GB and GBC Generations back!  ;^;
Why!? Why the new and retarded sytem with the max of 510 Effort Values? Make it to 1530 EV and I will be back to play Pokemon, the new generations.
I know I talked back about these things, but I really want it back, for goddamn long and glorious battles of the best and perfect pokemon!  O:<

Who actually came to that retarded idea, to exclude the possibility to maximaze all of your pokemons stats? I say don´t fix something what doesn´t need to be fixed.

Tickle Buffalo

Just play an MMO if all you want to do is grind things. Pokemon not all being identical is a good thing.

The fact that you can't max all of the stats actually allows players to be diverse and pick an EV spread that suits them.  Honestly, competitive Pokemon probably wouldn't be as interesting if everyone ran around with the exact same stats.
