Farfetch'd so needs an evolution.

Battle was okay for a stage 1 style battle. One thing I noticed is that one second lag time between the pokemon flashing from an attack and the HP being reduced from the bar. I hope they can speed that up a little more. It's not really a major issue, but it only adds to this nagging complaint that the DS games are slower than the other older Pokemon titles. RSE was pretty speedy.

The sad part is he'll only really stick out in low and mid evolution pokemon battles like this. He'll likely still get absolutely murdered in the fully evolved pokemon meta-game.

Protip: give a "cool-looking" pokemon sweet poffins to max the cute stat and give it cute moves, afterwards, cast and pray.

Since this is a remake, let's have the ability to insert contests like FR/LG did. lol.

Farfetch'd already knows Aerial Ace in this generation, plus that wasn't AA, it was Night Slash.

The Pokemon that really needs an evolution is Dunsparce. It already has a decent ability where if an attack's secondary effect is more likely to happen, but the Pokemon is more worthless than a Magikarp. Hell, Farfetch'd can at least use Fly and Cut and only costs a Spearow which can be caught easily. Dunsparce you get after getting the National Dex and is one of the only new Pokemon past that cave on Island Three.

Honestly, even in the older games, Dunsparce was TERRIBLE. An evolution and a moveset that can utilize the awesome ability it has would make Dunsparce infinitly more valuable as a Pokemon instead of just being seen as filler.

That second video clearly demonstrated Dunsparce's utter failure and why it needs an evolution.

Seriously, make it the... whatever type combo it is... surprising evolution candidate for Gen 2, like how Gen 1 has Magikarp to Gyarados and Gen 3 has Feebas to Milotic.

Dunsparce and magikarp is basically the dan hibiki of the pokemon series. teach them the right moves (plus getting the magikarp to involve into it's superior form gyarados) and you got [twin slasher].

To be honest, I caught a dunsparce in either sapphire or emerald if I remember.
