I'm curious, the Pokemon that follows you around is it the 1st Pokemon in your slot or will you have control of which Pokemon you want to follow you around and choose to stop your Pokemon from following you around.

Because they're grasping for straws until they come up with the 5th generation.

Honestly, I stick by with my original thoughts on this. I don't care that they're remaking Gold and Silver for the DS. Gold and Silver were revolutionary because it was the second generation, which added 100 new pokemon and added two new types, and that was completely awesome. The only real difference now is we're playing GS with DP pokemon, which sounds exciting because of the changes they'll make to the gym leaders or Elite Four, but honestly, it's pretty much the same thing over and over now. For me, it's gotten stale.

As much as I want my Absol to follow me around too (and Nintendo should also so add riding Pokemon without an HM to the games >.>), the appeal of a Magikarp splashing around everywhere while following you > everyone else.

A tiny bit more news.

With regards to all 493 Pokemon being able to walk around with you, they seem to be able to pick up items as well, just like walking in Amity Square in DPPt. So, berries and fashion accessories. Whether it's a set set, or Pokemon-dependent, is still not known.

probably not much, Linoone can be anywhere on the list to pick up stuff, and odds are it will still pick up better items than whatever pokemon is following you. The higher the level, the better items Linoone got.
