Dr. Jim never appeared in any Megaman/Rockman media. he was simply mentioned by alia, X, and Sheldon in X6. Sheldon was his bodyguard, but he considers that he failed in his duty because he allowed Dr. Jim to become maverick. Although the Dr. was able to control his infection, Sheldon was misinterpreted as a maverick, aaaand you know where it went from there. :P
