That is awesome, by far my favourite of Napo's art.

Here's something not reposted:

By Napo.
...
it really is a pity that Gate never got any further development after X6. he was such a deep character... with actual motives and quite a bit of interesting history. in the end, even though he was the main villain of the game, you still end up feeling sorry for him.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Rad Lionheart

I haven't even played much of X6 other than the opening stage and Yammark's stage.
But I was still interested in Dr. Gate and High Max. D: They were cool.

Flame

Gate and Highmax had the coolest music by far too. even Sigmas "sigma remix medley" pales in comparison.

Truth was stated here. That's why I give him front and center in the story I'm developing.

If Capcom took a hint and used him again in any game I'd buy three copies.

The image is all kinds of awesome BTW.

Guys, please let me know when did Gwen Stacy getting retroactively impregnated with Goblin Twins solve any contradiction whatsoever and didn't create a whole set of new ones. TTFN

They never ever mentioned him after 6... It was just assumed that they stuck his body in a tube and launched him into space.
kinda like Storm eagle.

which is why I love this little comic

Why thank you. BTW, you can reach the link through the old page of Enkers tale. the old page is still up, links and all. it IS a pity that Hunter of the past never gets updated anymore though... thats for sure... I really wanted to see how Vegemoon's "Angels and demons" ends.

I'd like some character development too, but I can't help but feel they'd get it all wrong. They did with Fefnir...

Flok

That Gate/High Max is truly awesome.

Glad to know that I am still using Gate for my fan fiction.

Sadly, I think you're right.

But I'd take my chances.

And on Iwata's doujin, while very nice on itself, I don't agree with their 'final solution' regarding Gate.

See? Dr light and his killing machine are the ture evil ones! Wily only wanted to try to bring some order into the chaotic world!
Read, What is his
name?

LIGHT.

also, @ Rodrigo, they never really decided on an ultimatum on Gate from my POV. they were discussing that it probably WOULD be for the best to reset him, but they never really came to a final desision, as all was interrupted by the weather. and yeah, I agree that they would probably get it all wrong. for some reason, Cappys gotten worse with the X series storytelling after X6... something bout it has changed.

It wasn't interrupted by the weather, Douglas had already left Alia to ponder what to do and just went back when he saw the snow falling. The way the story's handled it pretty much settles on Alia having the final world, and she herself was on the mindset of wiping his memory. If cleansing as much of the virus was possible, there would be no need, since that regardless of the betrayal Gate's actually concerned with the world at the start of the X6. The virus just brings out the worst there's in him, as it does to most Reploids.

Trust me, you don't want me to go the whole nine yards there, besides that I do agree.
