I got a question unrelated to Ragnarok and phallus monsters: Were there ever mangas for Rockmans 2 and 3? RPM Wiki tells me that Mr. Ikehara skipped them in favour of "World 2" and "World 3". I was going to ask for scans of 3, but it wouldn't help if said manga didn't exist. (Also for early American previews of Megaman 3, if only for the hilarity of Blues's name getting mistranslated to "Bruce".)

Anyone remember or hear of Club Nintendo? It was essentially the German Nintendo Power (they even had similar beginnings). Much like NP, Club Nintendo featured comics starring Nintendo characters (both created and licensed). Three of those characters were Megaman and the two doctors. The interactions between them and other characters (Link is Dr. Light's assistant, for example) makes it noteworthy, at least to me. (*looks innocently at Gauntlet*)

Here are the Super Mario Wiki pages on the stories featuring Megaman, Dr. Light, or Dr. Wily. X makes a brief cameo in the latter half of one Kirby arc, wherein Kirby is...a hardboiled detective...Yeah, that should tell you something about Club Nintendo's sanity.

Super Mario: Die Bescherung: A Christmas story. Megaman is introduced here, though he doesn't impact the story in any way. There's no PDF link on this page, unlike the others, but you can still find it here.

Super Mario: Die Verwandlung: Mario is having some literal imagine problems and goes to Dr. Light for help. Both he and Megaman are featured, with the latter having a larger role than in "his" debut story.

Super Mario: Verloren in der Zeit: Dr. Wily gives Mario an alarm clock that sends him through time. Wily appears in parts 1 and 4, and it's worth reading just to see Wily disguised as a postman.

Mario in Mariozilla: Kamek enlarges, then shrinks Mario (and himself); Dr. Light and Link get involved. Inexplicably, Link is Dr. Light's assistant in this story. I'm guessing that he's the one who fills out the "helper" role when everyone else at Light Labs is out fighting Wily.

Speaking of comics, I found an image of Dreamwave Megaman #3 that differed from the final cover. Since I lack a file host and I'm not stupid enough to try and use deviantART, I have to attach it.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

As far as I know, from my digging and what I've been told, no, there was not a RM3 manga. Which is a shame.

The manga entitled "Dr. Wily's Plot" is the RM2-based manga, just with a fancier name. The 'Blues Awakening'  book, though, is another RMWorld-based book essentially. If I ever get around to writing the summaries and uploading samples, that'd be clearer. So if you want to see manga Alien Wily and other escapades from the 2nd installment, I can provide that tomorrow.

I believe the Dreamwave image you attached was just another one of the 4-or-so samples they had on their site to promote the comics. The Elecman Spaziante art that I posted in the previous *Bleep* thread was another I nabbed there. It's nice to get a better idea of what the cover artwork was before Proto's charge effects, but I like that cover much more.  8)

As you have said, Rockman 2 = World 1 + World 2, Rockman 3 = World 3
And as Rock Miyabi said...
Dr. Wily's Plot = MM2, Blue's Awakening... Hmm...
Blue's Awakening had Dr. Cossack, so, it should be after MM4, Enker and Punk were in it too, so... timeline-wise... Yeah, after MM4.
There's no official MM3 manga, pity though...

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

The Great Gonzo

No MM2/3 manga? Phooey.

OK!

So Dreamwave's site had four images, huh? I got Elecspaz from the earlier thread, but never saw the other two. (Maybe. I have another version on cover two, one that doesn't have Megaman unwittingly bursting through the comic)

And while we're on the subject on Dreamwave, I have this image scanned from Newtype USA prominently featuring Megaman, but it's too large to attach...crap. >.<

Rock Miyabi

Spoiled because I'm throwing in 20 full scans this time. So, to begin Dr. Wily's Plot where we left off from Rockman 1...

[spoiler]After Rockman threw his helmet away knowing there would not be a sequel, 8 robots burst onto the scene. This time, Dr. Light makes sure that helmet will stick on Rock's head for good. 'You're kicked out of the house until you kill them all!', exclaims Light:

The first stage Rock visits is Metal Man's. Don't know why. Not like his weapon does anything. But damn, that's a lot of Metal Blades:

Risking massive cuts on his hands, Rock awkwardly spins a Metal Blade at a tree. If a tree is cut by a Metal Blade in the forest and explodes, yet nobody hears it, is it really dead?:

Scuba Man sicks his crab people at Rock:

Scuba bubbles tire Rock out, so he decides to try a Metal Blade in scissor motion again. It nails the diver right in the groin, causing little girls to giggle at his death. In the bottom left panel, you can hear Bubble Man scream in pain over playing Metal Rochambeau. He sure had his balls in a juice maker:

Air Man stops by and offers Rock a lift to the Sky Kingdom, where he can chew on Cotton Candy Clouds and drop a penny on people from miles high:

Hearing a rumor that you can't beat Airman, Rock decides to attack his friendly guest. 'Bite my shiny metal ass,' Rock screams! For once, Rock does not use Metal Blade, and Airman is beaten, without any Energy Tanks used:

Mr. Popo lends Rock a cloud to travel back to land, where Dr. Light has to fix Rock's shiny metal ass.

Yes, even manga Rock can't figure out the disappearing blocks in Heat Man's stage, so he cheats with Item 2:

HOT HOT HOT HOT HOLY [ATOMIC FIRE] HOT HOT HOT!!:

[BUBBLE LEAD] [BUBBLE LEAD] [BUBBLE LEAD]!!!!:

Teenage Metal Robot Rock, Teenage Metal Robot Rock, Hero in a metal shell, Rockman power. Quick, Rock, jump in the Turtle van!:

Stop time, will ya? TAKE A METAL BLADE TO THE BACK!!:

NOW TAKE A DOZEN BLEEPIN' MORE!!!:

Not so Quick when time is stopped, eh? 8D EH? :V

Yeah, the only weapon he uses is Metal Blade. But it bounces off of Mecha Dragon. Look at the look of shame and disappointment on Rock's face that it finally doesn't work on something:

Wily jumps from his spaceship and starts to...TRANSFORM!!:

Close Encounter of the Wily Kind:

What, you were just behind me playing techno music the whole time? I hate your DJ skills and your techno music old man!!:

Well, now that I killed the old alien fogey in a panel the viewers couldn't see, I'll take my helmet off again. Gee I wish the seasons would change at the end of this chapter...
[/spoiler]

And there is your Rockman 2 scannage.
Previously was K.G. Inafunbags, Captain Heady, Damon Gant, and the guy who liked the blue bomber solely for the reason that he was blue.

Flame

sweet. lol, the look of dissapointment and shame that it doesnt work on something.
lol, even Manga rock knows that a Metalblade spammed is a metalblade well used! XD
