Eh, forget EV Training. I'll just hack my stats. Saves so much time from grinding some digital monsters. Same for manipulated IVs

I wonder where's a good place for Speed EV's, though...
Valley Windworks (Buizel, Pachirisu), Route 214 (Staravia), Route 213 (Buizel), Route 212 (Hearthome, Staravia), Route 218 (Floatzel)...
In summary, anywhere with Buizel, Floatzel, Staravia, and Golbats.

Will you guys shut up about the EV Training if I told you I did it last night? (Even if that's a complete lie.)

CephiYumi

I remember a friend once telling me to never even try EV training, because it completely takes the fun out of the game o.o

And the fact EV training made my Kyogre cheap most of the time (Sheer Cold works 50% of the time now). I just used the stuff from the Depo Store to boost the power and speed as they grew.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

I don't think EVs work that way.

No, they don't, but it's nice to give them a little boost to fix 'em up, I did which was mostly on speed so the hit ratio would be a wee better.

I don't think Speed works that way.

Pretty much, I used one of the items that boost speed for the slower ones, basically, and the power ones for those that lack power.

I was talking about the accuracy. Which EVs don't ever influence. Ever.

CephiYumi

I think he means he uses the power and speed boosters instead of training EVs o.o

Tickle Buffalo

But that still wouldn't do anything about Sheer Cold's accuracy. :/

I guess they (sorta) changed Kyogre's stats abit when I ported him, Groundon, and Rayquaza from Emerald, which it oddly reacts too, it can't be ported to the Pokemon Ranch on the Wii, which I dub obsessed stayers.

I think you should ask that department store for a refund.

EV training has nothing to do with Sheer Cold's accuracy, it's based on actual level differences between you and your opponent.
Just to set things straight.

And as I said before, you can never escape from EV training.
All the wild Pokemon battles you do to train up your Pokemon/trainer battles IS EV training, it's just not the specialized form. :D

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

EV training really did take the fun out of the game for me.

Then I discovered Pokesav. It just made the game so much better for me.

I could make the teams that I wanted without all the hassle of having to find certain Pokemon to raise points that I couldn't see so that they wouldn't suck.

While EV training that I could make a Pokemon within a couple days, but that's still a lot of time not battling against other people. Which is what Pokesav lets me do quicker.

In a kind of related news, I now have a team of Under Used Pokes on Platinum. Don't know if I'll ever connect to the Wi-Fi connection, though.

...And that rant had nothing to do with what we were talking about.

EVs, nor stats in general, have ANYTHING to do with accuracy. All it is is calculations that decide whether your attack hits or not. The higher the attack's accuracy number is, the higher chance it's going to hit. Attacks with the "--" marks will ALWAYS hit. Whether they increase your stats or are an attack like Shock Wave.

That said, some of the more damaging moves have a low accurrcy.

That also being said, Surf is one of the better water type moves.

Nekomata

ev training is for kids with too much free time.

You should too. >_>

Pringer X

I quit playing Pokemon. It's just gotten too annoying and the game's changed too much for me to really enjoy it now.
