Yay! Konoha was completely destroyed. It almost seems like the end of the series is finally here, but the author's goal was to make it to 500 chapters... Hmmm...

Ah, since last time I watched the anime/read the manga, I'm pretty sure they never mentioned Kohona. but then, glad Shonen Jump's ending one of thier series, hopefully we will have no spinoffs like DBZ did.  :/

Trust me, I got flamed really bad when I asked about Naruto ending on a Naruto forum. And, yes, it really is completely stupid to think that a series will go on forever and you'd be stupid to want a series to go on forever. Every series has its limits before it loses its interest.

Umm... Considering from the first chapter, Konoha is mentioned like 50 times, I doubt you could have missed it. Then again, I think it's called the Hidden Leaf Village in the US, right?

Yeah, but the name puzzled me, which beacuse "Hidden Leaf Village" is such a cheesy name and looks more like a small town, than a village.

I'm still of the opinion that Hinata hasn't had her time to shine, and that in the timeskip she actually did get to Neji-levels of awesomeness, and became the officially recognized successor of her bloodline. As they say, beware the nice ones: if you wanna see the world end, [acid burst] Hinata off... Especially if it has something to do with Naruto.

Sasuke is the lamest character in the series. The author tries to put focus on him, but it's funny how the author forgets about Sasuke during the important events in the story.

Well, yeah, most of the chapters seem to center around Sasuke, but the character himself never does anything really important. It seems like all his character is good for is fluff. Take this recent event at Konoha. Where was Sasuke? After all that build-up about him going to destroy it and he isn't even there when it happens. It's like the author forgot about him and this isn't the first time this has happened.

And there is only practically two ways it could end: A sappy "I saved Sasuke" ending or "I have to kill you, Sasuke" ending...

or Naruto giving Sasuke a nice thorough beating.  no kage bunshin involved.  Well, that's what I want anyways.

Naruto and Sasuke team up and kill that Tobi guy while everyone else kills Pain's giant brain. In the end, some characters will die and Sasuke will be one of them, but it will be a bittersweet, happy ending. There will be a prologue with Naruto as the Hokage honoring the fallen Sasuke at the monument. They'll show a few of the character's cute kids and that'll be the end.

My guess is that the ending will be as crappy as the series has ultimately turned out to be: Naruto dies and Sasuke becomes Hokage as a way of atoning for his past sins, and as a way to honor Naruto's memory. Sakura dies a virgin, not having scored with neither Naruto nor Sasuke, and Hinata either also dies a virgin, being forced to live to take leadership of her bloodline but not marrying anyone, or immediately slashes her wrists at the depressing, not-even-Prozac-can-heal-this news of her beloved Naruto dying, effectively giving supremacy to the Hyuuga branch family in either case.
