I am getting a little tired of Rasengan techinques. I mean, I can understand why but I was at least hoping his new technique would at least be, you know... something new?

I think most of us are disgruntled in the manner in which Naruto got powerful. The Senjutsu training/kage bunshin training reeks of Dragonball Z so much that some of us just roll our eyes.

The smart thing for Kishimoto to have done would have been to have Naruto learn Senjutsu over the time skip. When he got back he would learn things like Rasenshuriken with Kakashi, and delve into the Kyuubi topic with Tenzo. At least this way, his power would have a sense of believability.

However, I am starting to think that Jiraiya focused on Kyuubi for a reason. He may have been gearing Naruto toward something that will require having knowledge of how to use Kyuubi and the key. Probably revolving around what ever "that jutsu" that Jiraiya mentioned to the frog key.

1. I'm a relative completionist. The story started decent enough, then it went to [parasitic bomb], then it fixed itself, and then it went to [parasitic bomb] again. Since it had periods in which I liked it, I'm giving the series a chance to let me know how it ends.
2. I seem to have much more willpower than most of you sissies; ever since Shippuuden started, I haven't put a finger on the anime, and just read the manga on weekends... When I remember to download it.

Before the end of this fight all of the rookie 8 will say they will help only for an adult to explain to them how inadequate they are compared to Naruto.

No one is going to help Naruto in this fight. Kishi is doing these asides, so that people don't flood him with questions on why everyone in the village just stood around the entire fight.
