It's also for the unified eShop. If the NNID on the 3DS matches the one used on the Wii U, account balances are shared.

Also just boot up Miiverse after updating. It'll prompt you there.

Half those people stopped coming here (STM, ST Jestah, Turian, Oscar, Ahrzayl, Gaia, etc.) so its probably not worth waiting on them.

Man, why does there have to be a friend limit? That makes no sense.

At the very least up the friend limit. It should be easily doable with a system update.

Also make it like.. 150, or some other multiple of 3, so the Friend Safari list doesn't have empty slots. Because with it at 100, the last row is just a single entry and two blank spots and it bugs the hell out of me.
