Unless they've JUST changed it, Hidden Ability passes if the parents are the same species.

You can breed with Dittos to do it.  Honestly I really don't like answering questions that can be answered by looking it up on Serebii all the time because I feel like I do that a lot.

For friends to show up in the Safari, the other party must add you too. So, just wait patiently.

I found that for Pokemon X/Y you need to see them online first ingame before they appear in the Friend category.

True, but for Friend Safari so long as you're 3DS friends with them you can go to their safari. You just won't know what they look like in the game.
