I haven't done this for myself, but I'm pretty sure that if you want to send games to another system, you need both systems for the transfers to work (as in, won't happen via SD card).  I've never in my life traded in a handheld so I don't know if the stores will help you make the swap or what.

Haha. You are right. I haven't really used Akamaru for a while now. If anything, I have been using Saber as a nickname. The real Saber is gonna kill me, but hey. I carried his name with honor, kicking anybody and everybody's a**. On the plus side, I am no longer embarrasses to use the mii that I have. Probably the closest representation of me when I have my contacts on and my shades. I should make an Akamaru Mii, now that I think about it.

As for those gold pieces, I haven't given up on them yet, but it will take me around another 500 races and only if I am in first in all of them. How daunting...

Well, the good news is that you gain SOME VR points, even if not many, as long as you do better than second-to-last.  I'm at 7717 myself, along with 8194 coins.

Oh crud, that is a lot. I only have about 2000 VR with about 3500 coins. Now I am really motivated to try to pick up where I left off so as to not shame myself.

Story short: I now have a new 3DS.

Long story: Since I broke the screen on the old one, it was getting harder and harder to play. Finally, decided to buy a LCD screen and give it to my dad to try to fix it. He then proceeds to dismantle it, break the joystick controls and, oddly enough, replace the LCD. End result though is that it doesn't turn on anymore, so I can't System Transfer my old data to the new one. F***, that was 6 months worth of collecting Puzzle Pieces, collecting hats, complete PokeDex, and the Kid Icarus videos along with all my Swap Notes.

Moral of the story: Here is my new Friend Code. 3523-3083-5251. I'll be adding people along the day.
