I preordered it locally in my town, from a Swedish store called webhallen.
Lucky. Stores are being more resistant to it over here.

Local inner-city mom-and-pop grocery store that sells lots of incense and smells funny inside.

Bought this little beauty at Comic Con for about $60. Had to wait in line for almost 20 minutes, but it was damn well worth it.

And I snagged some comics along the way. For DC: Batman #1 (Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee), First Issue of Batman and Robin "REBORN", and a couple other comics from Marvel. Would've bought a lot more if I hadn't been short on cash. Not that I'm complaining, very pleased with my purchases.

I actually saw that on display, but it wasn't up for sale yet.

Bought the first Megaman comic TP, the newest issue, and also won a free ticket for a convention at the end of the month that I'm assisting only to participate in the fighting game tourneys (which was the point of the free ticket actually).

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Personally, I would never buy something like this, a metallic-coated figure I mean. The issue with these kinds of figures is often that the metallic paint will chip off really easily. I was already scared enough when I tried to remove Full Armor X' front helmet piece because I feared I'd scratch the gold lines of it. It's wierd though that on the official pictures, the Full Armor has yellow parts on it. On the actual figure, all that is supposed to be yellow is actually a metallic gold.

And besides, you tend to see every little fingerprint on such large metallic surfaces such as the Comic Con exclusive X.

I'm still trying to get the regular X release.

Metallic finishes on figures and how resilient they are to chipping depends on the manufacture.  If I recall, vac-metallicizing the plastic, in which the metallic finish is layered beneath a clear plastic, will protect it from chipping.  However, vac-metallicizing is pretty expensive and most manufacturers go the cheap route and just apply a metallic finish.

Anywho, I bought time to use a washer and dryer at the laundromat.

Then, I got ramen.  Authentic MeiMei tom yum seafood flavor ramen, in these neat lil plastic bowls.  I love this stuff.

I also got fruit pudding.  Mango, lychee, and kiwi flavor.  Already had one of the lychee cups.

From what I can see, It doesn't chip unless you fiddle around with it for a few days. The top part of the helmet only has a very tiny paint chip. That's why it would be best to have it on display ASAP in the proper position you want it in, and change occasionally. I've barely noticed any fingerprints either. The metallic paint is a nice deep dark blue, you won't noticed prints much at all.

The metallic paint also adds realism to it, in comparison to the regular plastic, I would say. X is made out of metal after all.

If I recall, vac-metallicizing the plastic, in which the metallic finish is layered beneath a clear plastic, will protect it from chipping.  However, vac-metallicizing is pretty expensive and most manufacturers go the cheap route and just apply a metallic finish.

I'm not really a figure-collector, but wouldn't there be problems with small air bubbles in the plastic or something?

That's the thing about vac-metallicizing; no air bubbles.  It's vacuum-molded.

Anywho, I bought an outfit for a wedding I'm attending next week.  After that's over, I promise you pics of me in a dress.

And I haven't worn a dress in fifteen years.

The Lion King on Blu-Ray as an X-Mas gift to my sister.

Half-Life 2 as per my friend's insistence. Tried to play the Synergy co-op mod with him, but his ping was around 900 despite living maybe a few kilometres away.

The Max Payne Bundle on Steam. Was on sale for about 1/4 the price, so I figured 'sure why not'.

Amazing buys, but for the love of all, play those VANILLA first time 'round. No mods. All part of the experience.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Pick up the can. Only throw it back and run through the opening.
