I can't dance.  I can bob to music in something that stops short of a seizure, and I can line dance.  That's all.

I ended up going to like... 4 dances total. I never stayed long. I think the Junior Prom lasted till Midnight, I bailed at 10.

The truth is, unless you're actually trained in the art of dance, all dancing is essentially just bopping or slightly moving to music.

I didn't particularly care for them, either, except for prom. And that was only because I wanted to ask a girl I've known for quite some time to be my prom date. I wondered if being at prom would spark anything between us.

I should also mention that I too have never danced with somebody. But I don't like to dance unless its by myself.

It's actually only my dad that's stuck in the past like that. My mom is cool with those things. Alas, he's the "man of the house", so his word trumps everyone else's.

And this is only the very tip of the iceberg of what I have to deal with, concerning him. We all had to hide certain things from him growing up because he's so unnecessarily strict.
