Well then, NOW I take back what I said about Xillia's artwork. I like it. Grew on me.

I learned that all things explode in slowmotion if you punch them hard enough.

You may have to be on fire for that to happen, though.

This one, so, better come out in the US! I want to get it!

I highly doubt it. Graces F is coming to the US. So they'll be screwing us over for anywhere from 2-6 years.

Hmm... Well I've imported the japanese only Tales of the World RM2 & 3, so I guess I'll import the Japanese version if I have to, but I'll wait to see if they'll release it in the US.

Namco is saying they have "Big Plans" for the Tales Of series right now, but I'm not being too hopeful. I've been hearing rumors that they plan to release Tales of Innocence in the US.

Tales of Xillia just got a new battle system upgrade
SlowMo by pressing R3

Slows down the time during battle for enemies and allies
Seems the battle system is otherwise really fast paced
so its probably needed to dodge and input commands

ZeroCracked

I'd like to go Matrix in a Tales game.

Well, Nintendo Power confirmed what some people were hoping for.

Tales of the Abyss 3DS will be available in North America this fall.
Based on what we've seen from the Japanese, this version's extras are really just the extras from North America (second level mystic artes, etc) so I wouldn't expect anything too new and exciting.

Though... I wouldn't mind if Asch was allowed more playtime or if Ion and Van played bigger roles. Also Dist getting his D-Buster Mystic Arte.

Here's something else to might piped your interest.

Tales of Innocence may be coming to the 3DS, so it would seem that rumor about a certain Tales Of DS game might be coming over to the US and/or Europe in a rather unexpected way.

And here's more sites cementing that rumor... erm I mean... idea:
http://www.dshandheld.com/2011/04/namco-bandai-re-trademarks-tales-of-innocence-in-u-s/
http://www.siliconera.com/2011/04/07/oh-maybe-namco-bandai-will-localize-tales-of-innocence/

I've never played that game, either the fan translated one so I don't hack my DS (besides using an Action Replay) and would love to get it! The Tales Of series has such a unique RPG gameplay that I like and want to be brought over so I can play it and understand the story (that's why RPG is one top favorite genre and am quite sad there isn't a lot of them in the US right now for the Wii, PS3, and 360).

Innocence is a good start, but I always heard people harp on about Hearts more.

Ephidiel

Hearts has the superior battle system and music
Innocence lacks a bit in both aspects

ZeroCracked

Hearts is way better, to be sure.

Well, with luck, we may see Hearts if Abyss and this supposed Innocence 3DS do well.

Solar

Couldn't they have chosen the one that doesn't have a fan translation already AND is superior? =/

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

ZeroCracked

Referring to Hearts or Innocence, because if there's a fan translation of either one, I'd like to be aware of it.

There is a full translation of Innocence
and a Demo translation of Hearts
but i think the translation project for hearts got abandoned

So it really is Tales of Star Ocean 2

QuoteSpeaking at a Tales producer talk event, Hideo Baba said players pick their starting protagonist. You can select Jude, the teenage medical school student who is on a secret mission, or Milla, the spirit magic user who is determined to protect the world.

The opening of Tales of Xillia changes depending on which character you select. Baba assured that this decision will not have any great change for the overall story, but this allows players to beginning from the perspective of both lead characters. Which one would Baba start with? Milla, he answered, but he said there is no special meaning to this decision.

Where did "Xillia" come from? Baba says it's derived from million and billion, in English. He wanted to have a huge number and started with "Xillion" which eventually was changed to Xillia. The significance is within a persons life there are many events and encounters with people.

Tales of Xillia is scheduled for release this year on PlayStation 3.

Well, Graces F confirmed for PS3 (no Wii version, [tornado fang]) next year during Namco's conference in Dubai. That and saying that Abyss is coming this year was pretty much all they said. Wow they care little for the franchise >__>

Oh well, at least apparently we got SOUL CALIBUR 5 while I typed that >.>

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

^And apparently the Extra/Bonus Characters may be returning, except for Shura, judging by what was written in one of those articles about SC5. It's a shame really, though I didn't play as her as I'm not a Cerv user I really liked the twin sword concept and really hoped for a real and true dual-wielding sword user (Algol doesn't really count). Hope these some new characters and maybe we'll get more CaS equipment from the modern day era, kinda like those business suits, like a hoodie or jeans (I wouldn't mind something like that, just for fun).

Anyway Tales of Xillia is rumored... or maybe semi-confirmed... to be releasing in August and honestly I'm quite excited even though it hasn't been announced for a US release (yet, I'm being optimistic here and I believe it will come out in the US and I'm buying both TotA 3DS and ToGf when they come out).

I don't mind if Tales of Graces f doesn't come out for the Wii, even though I wouldn't mind another Tales Of game for the Wii, and the reason being is for the HD graphics Graces f uses that the Wii is unable to utilize.

Namco Bandai's Tales of Festival event brings more news of Tales of Xillia. 4Gamer, amongst other Japanese press, attended the event, and report that a release date for the game has been decided upon; Xillia is planned for a September 8th, 2011 release in Japan. The game will be priced at 8,379 yen ($103).

Sony and Namco will also be offering a special PlayStation 3 bundle for Tales of Xillia. This will cost 37,980 yen ($470). Pre-orders will go up on May 30th, and since the Xillia PS3s will only be produced in limited quantities, prospective buyers are advised to pre-order.

Reserving the game will also net buyers bonus costumes, mascot charms and custom PlayStation 3 themes. Jude gets a Cless (Tales of Phantasia) costume and Milla gets Stan (Tales of Destiny), both pictured at the top of this post. Additionally, Star Driver costumes will also be made available for Xillia.

Meanwhile, Famitsu are offering one of their usual DX bundles for Tales of Xillia, too. It'll come with a replica Tipo doll, B2 posters, and clear folders.
