No it doesn't. the US and Japan are just in the same region.  and the PS2 aspect of it still locks out PS2 games.

Granted, but PS2's are now under $100, if you don't already own one.  And just Blu-Ray movies for the US & Japan are the same region. I'm pretty sure the PS3 Games have no boundaries.

STM

Games are regionless for the most part from what I've gathered.

Acid

Sweet.

I still don't know about a PAL or US release.

Graces looks so much like an awesome fighting engine meets RPG that it isn't even funny. Seriously. XD

I'm certainly keeping an eye out on it now.

Subbed Graces Trailer.

Ya know the best part? That not only does the main look EXACTLY like Suzaku, and wear somthing from Lelouch's wardrobe, But it's even the EXACT SAME [tornado fang]ing VA.

STM

I wouldn't be surprised if someone already took his art and added the Geass to it.

Jericho

Am I the only one who actually liked the Geass (I-- God, I forgot the artist's name again. She did this and the Geass manga) art style minus a few ethereally clean noodle people in R2?

In before purple Master Sword. 8D

Marnic

The only Tales of fame I've ever played was Eternia and that was not bad at all, actually it was one of my better PSP games.
I love living in Europe, Tales of Vesperia isn't even out here yet. I'll be waiting for the PS3 version anyhow- with the new content and all. I love loli pirates, y'know.

And god, this theme is great.

"Di Mant de Vongole Primo!"

Acid

I  preordered ToV yesterday.

THIS BETTER BE GOOD.

Ephidiel

where did you preorder?

and finally a 3D Tales of Game that seems to reach the speedgoodness of the Destiny games.

Acid

Amazon.

I keep it rather basic.

STM

I'll calmly wait to see if an English version comes out. Namco of America has a pretty bad track record on the series so far, as they're quite a bunch of morons when they could instead be muscling into Final Fantasy's market.

Fxeni

The Destiny games are overrated. There, I said it. I fail to see what's so grand about them.

Also, seeing some of these brought over in english would be nice.

STM

Sadly, I only really see the Tales of Graces coming to the U.S. Vs. wouldn't be too bad and Vesperia would be great for PS3 owners, assuming they can get it out here before Final Fantasy XIII... and not a few days before it either. They released Tales of the Abyss really close to Final Fantasy XII and got steamrolled here.

Jericho

Holy [tornado fang] on a stick the Graces battle animations and moves are superb looking. :O

The Final Fantasy (recent) games is definately overraited. And I never played the Destiny games so I don't get how good they were, I bet it was the FF7 of it's time.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Jericho

Definitely.

Related.

Overrated.

Gaia

Soo.. does it have the Final Fantasy Syndrome too? It's a simple question, yes.

Destiny 1 was basically the game that did the most to set the overall "tone" for the series , in a lot of ways. It did a lot to refine the "rough" aspects of SNES Phantasia, and add plenty of series conventions that carry over to this day (like "Skits"). Destiny and Phantasia are running neck to neck with having the largest amounts of the most beloved characters in the entirety of the series. So it should be little wonder why the likes of Stahn and Leon are as loved as Cless and Arche (if not arguably more in some circles).

Destiny 2 (the REAL one) was the one who brought the series to the PS2 generation in style, and again, did probably the most to set the basic tone for the series, for yet another generation of gaming.

And Destiny Remake, beyond being a remake of one of the best and most favored games of the series, has probably THE most fun battle system ever crafted for a Tales game (though Graces may finally give Re-Destiny a run for its money). Director's Cut edition even has "Leon Mode" for a nice extra.

So yeah...the Destiny "series" enjoys its lofty place in the fandom for good cause, I would think.

Yeah...that much was evident even though that was probably the WORST quality footage ever unleashed on an unsuspecting public.  8D

Honestly, I've never really cared for any of the 3D Tales games, as none have ever set a chord with me as much as any of the 2D games. But Graces may definitely change that, especially since Team Destiny's newest battle system looks to impress so much...  owob
