No way. 32-bit all the way for X9.

If you're going to do any kind of Retrostyle for MMX, 16-Bit, where the series' best games were.

But X9 should be in modern graphics, simple as that.

Barkeep!  A cookie for my buddy here! :cookie:

Seriously, the SNES-style X-series sprites were horrid.  They were badly proportioned and didn't allow a decent level of detail to the body, to the point where it was clear in many places that the devs weren't even trying.  I could accept it if it was a system limitation, but it wasn't, the SNES was fully capable of better.  Hell, the GBC detailed Zero's X2 armor better than the SNES did, which is pretty pathetic.  PS1 was without a doubt the best 2D visual style, although reworking the air-dash physics wouldn't hurt any.

Fact is, the SNES style was made for X1.  And in X1, the designs were simpler.  X2 and X3 got more complicated characters who in the SNES look like a complete mess of pixels.  This applies especially to X's armor in X3.

Well then they should make simpler characters again.

That's why we have the Classic series.

Would be pretty senseless to reject the trends for 10 out of 11 entries to the series.  Especially since it'd require redesigning Zero again.

Not that simple, just X1 complex.

Not X6 or ZX complex.

I'm actually hoping for newer, more awesome graphics for a new X9 game.  Also, I'm putting my foot down...

I WANT PLAYABLE SIGNAS!

"You are OFFICIALLY the worst Maverick in history!"

Not that simple
I dunno, Bass is pretty comparable to X1 in terms of design complexity.

Which makes sense, Wily going in design complexity order from Bass to Mr. Booblights.

Oh yeah, to add onto my "Fixing Star Fox" list (although, these are more just things I hope for)...
-Playable Star Wolf
-Online dog-fights
-4 Player Online Co-OP
-I can't stress enough the importance of remixed SNES style music (which is what I was listening to, which prompted this update)

-Playable Star Wolf
Why stop at Star Wolf?  What about your support characters (Bill, Kat, etc.)?  Unlockable, of course, we can't flood the options screen on the first playthrough.  But that was one thing I liked about Command.  You could pretty much be anyone, even if your selection was determined by stage.

-4 Player Online Co-OP
I can only imagine what insane mobs of enemies it would take to give every player a fair share of the action.

...I LOVE IT!

Damn straight.  Including but not limited to:
-Victory jingle
-Venom Course 2
-Professor Hanger

Fund it.
