Ah, Terra... one of RPGs few useful female leads, along with co-lead, Celes. I think she's the only character who didn't wind up looking weird through "Nomura-ization."
Tina? Isn't it Terra? WTF? Also, I think there's an unknown ref in FF9 to FF6.
Terra Branford > Terra, Bran Bal
See?
Tina was her name in the JP version, and Terra jus actually means "Earth" o.o
I knew that. Still kinda strange. I like Terra more, has a better feeling to it.
Im happy Kefka is in it. Finally have Kefka kill Sephiroth. IMO Kefka is the best FF villian. Crazy from the start, not a mamas boy and
*spoiler* Destroys the world*spoiler*
Dont get me wrong. I liked Mr. One winged angel, but I just think Kefka is under appreciated.

Part of the charm. It's like internet memes; they're annoying and stupid, but you have to love them because it's their only purpose.
I can't wait, It's gonna be fun beating the crap out of the crying little emo bastards with Kefka as well as having his own rear end handed to him :D
Hasn't Nomura always been the lead character designer though? I could have sworn he did FF6 at the very least.
Does anyone else think they'll pull some "guest" characters out of other Square Enix's games just for the fans?
Why are there so many freakin' enter breaks on this post?

I thought Amano was designing the characters at the time.
Yeah, emos!
I liked Kefka's laugh. I also like the menacing presence he held through half the game (the other half, he was sort of setting things up by backstabbing the empire.) Plus, any villain that successfully trashes the planet and screws over the heroes is pretty much worth his salt. Also, his ultimate move is pretty cool since it warns you in advance that you're about to get demolished, instead of a two minute, thirty second cutscene every time he triggers his ultimate attack.
Yeah, you ruined the whole solar system, Sephiroth. You don't need to keep showing it.

I don't know if actually needed that many cutscenes with just one boss especially if it takes a few minutes just to execute one attack!

Is this really the box art? Did Amano draw this or I am just seeing yet another talented fan artist?
To me, it doesn't seem like the official cover they go with the game. That's just me though.
Yeah I thought Tetsuya Nomura was doing the artwork.
Up until FF7 Nomura has always been redrawing Amano's original concepts.
I like Amano's stuff but I hope us Europeans get the better cover (again).

Chaos and Cosmos
Chaos is awesome.
Remember when every RPG had a demon king as a final boss? That was cool.
The Famitsu score is out. Ranked above Crisis Core
10/9/9/8
Famitsu review:
- They enjoyed the customization, and really loved the animation cutscenes, especially the opening.
- The difficulty is pretty simple, and the textures add a charm into the game.
- The abundnat customization is something greeted by FF fans
- There are certain parts where the game does get difficult and it becomes anxious.
- You can level up and become stronger, however your enemy becomes stronger as you do.
- The customization the game presents is the best they've seen on a hand-held.
- You can enjoy the battle in the style of "Advent Children (Action Wise)" by watching replays.
- The storyline is neatly put togehter and isn't a mess.
- The storymode is fun, however the board game world map can take some time due to even when learning about it from the tutorial there are a lot of technical terms used.
- The battles are fast paced and the customization creates the feel of an RPG.
Also apperanrtly Story mode alone can take over 40 hours. and 100 hours to unlock everything 100%.

Well, as long all of the characters get good english VAs (which I somehow know they will. It'll be hard to not mess up a majority of the villains FF1-6), i'll be looking forward to: Garland, Emperor, Exdeath, Kefka, Kuja, Terra, Butz (sssh!), Squall (since well, David Boreanaz is cool and stuff), and Zidane. Lul.
Angel will never again voice Leon. Only reason he even did it in KH1 was because Disney wanted a star studed cast for it. All the FF and original characters for KH2 were voiced by the ZRO Limit productions VAs. Exception being the gay one who was revoiced by that kid who sees dead people.
*double checked*
oh, ok.
in that case, negate Squall from my list. And Haley did gewd as Sora, but ah well, that's just me, anyways, i'm gonna watch this new DB movie trailer again~

Well, I thought his voice was nice before he hit puberty that is. The thing is I do not want Squall to voiced by who ever it was that voiced him KH@ and I wish they brought back Boreanaz as Squall but that is only a dream I suppose. Anyway, I wonder if Kefka will be voiced by the same guy who did the Joker in the animated series that is if he can pull off the Kefka laugh!

Mark Hamill? He better be. But it's unlikely.
Square gets their dubbing done from ZLP as they did with DoC, Crisis Core, Advent Children, etc.
Don't expect people who aren't from them to voice. Also Kefka's tone is much older than hamills joker.
Hopefully the actress who voiced Ashe, Shelke, Ovelia and Jeane (of NMH) will voice Terra. I know i'd get a boner from that alone :V

Sephiroth
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/8356/1229132519899xm8.jpg)
【Concept】
"Blade Master"
He wields the Masamune, a sword longer than himself which boasts the longest reach of all. His unique unseeable swordplay (while you can see a single swing of the sword, the attacks count as mutliple hits) is able to slice his opponents to ribbons in moments. With his Brave sword attacks, Sephiroth will appear to be stationary, while the arch of light left behind inidicates where his attack hit his opponent. However, this does mean that he vunerable after attacking. But it is possible to chain attacks together, if the button is pressed directly afterwards, the resulting attack increasing how much Brave and EX-Force he gains. Compared to other troops of Chaos, he is a bit easier to handle.
【Position and Personality】
Sephiroth is a silver-haired swordsman who was once a famous hero. Hardly a shadow of humane sentiment can be found in his words or actions now, and even among the troops of Chaos he stands seperate from the rest due to his conspicuous nature. He is a person deeply connected with Cloud's past, and he likes to call him "puppet," and generally lord himself over the other.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Sprouts a single black wing. Based on the design Sephiroth has in AC/ACC.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. When in the air, pressing X will allow him to glide. Futhermore, doing this lets him use special attacks, like a stronger and longer lasting Octoslash.
EX-Burst: "Super Nova" He blows his enemy away with a wave of energy eminating from the blade of his sword, causing them to swallowed within the exploding expansion of a dying star. Press the O button to fill up the Limit Gauge that appears, quickly as possible until it is filled. If you don't finish in the time the star will finish exploding, resulting in a weaker attack.

Cloud Strife
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/2058/1229132431647af5.jpg)
【Concept】
"Smash & Blow/Blow Hitter"
Wielding his giant Buster Sword, he can send opponents flying with one dynamic blow. This can even mean knocking an opponent from one side of the map to the other. He's a character designed to make use of collision damage. Although it is possible to balance out with practice, his aerial techniques are still rather quirky. Although he can use some magic, high damage close-quarters fighting is his speciality. His speed is average. It is possible to use attacks in the same vien as Omnislash. He was designed to be a pick up and play character.
【Position and Personality】
Cloud is a 21-year-old swordsman, armed with the Buster Sword. He is one of the older members among the warriors of Cosmos. He straight-foward in addressing problems and composed during arguments, as he seldomly agitated while approaching these issues with his calm judgement, making him very dependable in this situation in the others' eyes. However when it comes to his personal issues, the constant question of "Why I am fighting?" leaves him frustrated.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Switches weapons. Goes from Buster Sword to Ultima Weapon.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. His attack power is raised in proportion to his current HP. All of his sword attacks become unblockable.
EX-Burst: "Omnislash" Slashes with his sword 14 times to steal his opponent's Brave, before leaping into the air to slash with all of his might. Press the O button to fill up the Limit Gauge that appears, as fast as you can to make it reach the end. However if you miss the deadline of when the "Omnislash" message appears, there will be fewer attacks than normal.
[color="#00BFFF"]==================================[/color]
Terra Branford
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/8222/1229132663280jp1.jpg)
【Concept】
"Magic Master"
A mage who uses magic high above the standard of other characters. Not only good for long distance attacks, she also has plenty of short-distance attacks. While magic is fundamentally a long range, as opponents approach she is also capable of switching to short range on the fly. Though she is a little slow while moving. Her girlish voice and movements are part of her charm, right down to the way she appears to put effort into her magical attacks.
【Position and Personality】
Terra is a young woman born from the union of Esper and human. Not only does she store a huge amount of magical power in her body, but she is also well-versed in the arts of swordplay. Because she grew up in an unorthodox enviroment, she does not express her emotions well and is unsure about her future. She also has problems controlling the power of her Esper-self.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Tranforms into her Morphed/Tranced form from the original game. She glows with a white and purple tinged light, and her Esper-self seems covered in fur.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. She will cast her spells twice in a form of "Dual Cast," and is able to glide by pressing the X button. This is described as this being when "The power of her magical attacks is at its height."
EX-Burst: "Riot Blade" She hurls ice at her opponent, and then lets transparent blades of magic fly from both of her arms. Two gauges appear, one for the left directional button and another for the O button. The number of blades she attacks with and thus the power of the attack are dependent upon how full the gauges are.

Cefca Palazzo
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/315/1229132844649sj2.jpg)
【Concept】
"Trick Star"
His magic follows irregular patterns, and he mainly focuses on irritating his opponent from a distance. Because he exaggerates every motion there is a lag time between attacks, and due to this slowness he is poor at close quarters combat. His main strategy is to play with his opponents, looking down at them with contempt as he makes them fools in his personal game. Incidentally, the motions of his attacks aren't the only odd thing about them, since many of them also have strange names.
(Schala's Note: The attacks have names like 'Spinning Blizzaga,' 'Variety Firaga' and 'Here and There Thundaga')
【Position and Personality】
With his comical conduct, Kefka is a Magitek Knight that combines childishness with brutality. Unlike Terra, his magical powers were artificially injected, a process that destroyed his mind. Kefka keeps his head down admist the other troops of Chaos, clearly watching out only for himself, as he is focused on exploiting Terra's weaknesses for his own gain. Although he often does not appear to make sense, his eccentricity still generally accepted amongst the forces of Chaos. The voice actor was allowed to adlib his lines.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Appears as he did at the end of the game - as a angel in a lioncloth who has absorbed the power of the Warring Triad.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. Changes the patterns of this magical attacks from two bounces to three (Described as "The magic travels along the ground, stopping for one burst and then flies after the opponent) However, it becomes even harder to predict where it will go. While in the air, you can press X to glide.
EX-Burst: "Light of Judgement"* He draws upon the power of the Warring Triad, smiting his opponent from above with a beam of light, causing a grand explosion. Three buttons are displayed for you to memorize the pattern you must input to invoke the spell. Should you make a mistake, instead of "Light of Judgement," the opponent will be swallowed in a weaker explosion, "Forsaken."
[color="#00BFFF"]=============================[/color]
Squall Leonhart
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/6544/1229132267506ll3.jpg)
【Concept】
"Combo Master/Combo Fighter"
With his Gunblade, he is quick to attack at at short distances, and combine bullet and blade in his fighting style. Although close-quarters combat on the ground is his forte, he can use magic, allowing him to attack from a distance as well. Either way, he be relished by players who love delivering long strings of combos. Though his HP attacks are a little slow, they have a large attack range.
(Mini notes that Squall tends to run like a girl in this game)
【Position and Personality】
Squall is a 17-year-old swordsman who fights with a gunblade. He graduated from the mercenary training school, Balamb Garden, originally founded to defeat the Sorcereresses. Reticient and rather impolite, he distances himself from his allies, but this to due to his hidden vunerability and fears regarding being hurt. Thus, few people get close to him. As in the original game, he has many moments of personal soul-searching.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Swittches weapons from Revolver to Lionheart.
EX-Mode Bonus: Lionheart (Increases the power of Gunblade attacks. It also increases the reach of the blade, and causes it to fire upon contact with opponents, further increasing its damage output)
EX-Burst: Renzokuken - Uses his Gunblade in a series of attacks against his opponent, mirroring the finisher "Lionheart." With sharp explosions, he lets the bullets fly. As in the original, a bar appears at the bottom of the screen with a marker labled "Trigger" to show when to hit the R button to increase the attack's power. The trigger can be hit up to eight times. However, missing the Trigger will automatically end the chance to power up the attack, making the game skip to ending of Lionheart.
[color="#00BFFF"]=============================[/color]
Ultemecia
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/8254/1229132344607mv3.jpg)
【Concept】
"Magic Shooter"
Although her attacks and movements are a bit slow, as a ranged character her magic bullets can travel long distances. Even if someone manages to approach, she can continue to launch attacks while moving, allowing her to put distance between her and her opponent while still fighting. Her attacks change dependent upon the number of times the button is pushed, allow her barrages to gain power and her attacks to have variations. Also, some of her attacks draw from the image of a "Sorcereress' Knight" with orginal magical weapons such as a sword, an axe, and bow named after the position.
【Position and Personality】
Ultimecia is a Sorcereress with the incredible power to manipulate the flow of time. While attempting to compress time so that she alone could live forever, Squall and his friends came to oppose her. As this femme fatale flaunts her voluptuous figure, she still maintains an air of charm and elegance. Around her fellow troops of Chaos she pretends to be polite while scheming behind their backs, reveling in her own vainglorious thoughts.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Changes form as she junctions herself to Griever in a way similiar to the original game.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. Her magical powers increase, and she gains a special R+Square attack.
EX-Burst: "Time Compression" She stops time around her opponent to freeze them in place, and then barrages them with magical bullets, ending with a large explosion referred to as "End of Memories."* In the middle of her attack, a guage similiar to Squall appears, complete with the same manner of markers. When her marker reaches the "Fire!" mark, press the O button with the proper timing to increase the power of her projectiles. Successfully completing the sequence will affect the amount of Brave she can steal from her opponent, but either way the general effect of the attack will remain the same.
[color="#00BFFF"]==========================[/color]
Shantotto
(http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/3118/1229131858822po3.jpg)
【Concept】
"Level-Up Magic"
A heavily skill-based character whose magic changes depending upon the amount of Brave she possesses at a given time. While she is unique in being able to combo with HP attacks, they are still hard for her to land. Along with her magic, the attributes of her staff also change.
【Position and Personality】
A prominent Tarutaru black mage, graced with the title of "Professor." Her exact age is unknown, and though she appears to be a charming angel, she is quite forceful in action - almost unprecedentedly so - and the most radical words fly from her lips everytime she opens her mouth. She loves conflict and trouble, running headlong into action, openly flaunting her arrogance. Though she is involved with the world, as well as the story, her tale is seperate from the main battle between Cosmos and Chaos. Furthermore. There is a sense that even if she is defeated, "She will never give up."
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Outfit: She changes from her normal Windrust Commander Coat into a Cobra Unit Coat*.
EX-Mode Bonus: "Manafont" Her Brave will not decease while attacking HP
EX-Burst: "Lost Temper" She attacks with two staves at once for this Skillchain, with 6 types of Ancient Magic swirling around her. In the lower left corner there is a menu box with the options of "Quake" "Tornedo" "Freeze" "Flare" "Flood" and "Burst." As each spell has a different elemental type, they must be cast in a pattern in order to raise their power. However, if you take too much time making your selections, the deadline will pass.
*The Cobra Unit is a group of mercenaries allied with the Federation of Windurst.
[color="#00BFFF"]===========================[/color]
Jecht
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/715/1229132004585mi0.jpg)
【Concept】
"Ultimate In-fighter/Super In-fighter"*
He doesn't use magic, so intend overwhelms his opponent in close-quarters, making him a character suitable for those who like fighting games. He moves quickly, and once he makes the approach, his over-whelming strength easily depletes his opponent's Brave in fast combos. The fact that his Brave attacks only grow stronger as he gains more Brave make him more dangerous. His combos have many different branches, and their flow changes depending upon the player's ability to input attacks with optimal timing. In this way, it is possible to cancel out the time between attacks, allowing HP attacks to be integrated into combos.
*Concept titles with a / indicate that more than one term has been used to describe the character's fighting style.
【Position and Personality】
Jecht is Tidus' father, and was once a star blitzball star like his son. He lacks the ability to properly express love or other tender feelings, resulting in an extremely rocky relationship with his son. Though he has no desire to rule the world, he is allied with the side of Chaos for his own reasons. This motive will be revealed through the story. In comparison to a shadowy manipulator like Golbez, he is the type who acts without thinking.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: A transformation based on Braska's Final Aeon from the original game.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. Even if his attack misses, another one can be executed without pause. It is possibly to totally dominate an opponent when they have no time to counter-attack.
EX-Burst: "King of The Blitz" He flings his opponent with a kick, slashes at them with his sword, and then kicks a boulder at them. The same timer bar that Tidus has appears, and the O Button has to pressed went the cursor reaches the center. If you succeed in selecting it the first time, then a second bar appears to power it up further

Dofus
(http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/5172/1229131924649zq0.jpg)
【Concept】
"Dodge-Attack"
Though he uses a sword he's not your everyday swordsman, as he efficiently intergrates his natural athletic abilities to attack while constantly moving about. He is able to shift around into a back stab, making avoiding enemy attacks easier, and leaving him better equipped to quickly respond to enemy attacks as he continues with his evasions. He almost seems to float a bit like Kuja, one of the main points about him that the staff debated hotly.
【Position and Personality】
Always up-beat no matter the surroundings, Tidus is a positively cheerful 17-year-old. He was gathering popularity as a young blitzball star. While he tends to affect everyone's mood around him, when it comes to his own issues he often loses his temper. But he is also sentimental, and often wears his heart on his sleeve. His possesses very complicated feelings regarding his father Jecht.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Weapon change. He switches to Caladbolg.
EX-Mode Bonus: Caladbolg (Raises HP and attack power), Hastega (Increases movement speed - to the point of being able to avoid magic). This also allows the player a bit more reaction time for dodging.
EX-Burst: "Blitz Ace" He slashes rapidly at his opponent, then he tosses a blitzball into the air to shoot at his opponent with an overhead kick. As in the original, a bar appears at the bottom of the screen, with a cursor moving back and forth across it. When the cursor reaches the center of the bar, press the O button to raise the last attack's power.

【Concept】
"Air Master"
He moves quickly, which helps to make him more user-friendly in ariel battles, where he excels. He can also preform multiple mid-air jumps, a talent that serves him well on narrow battle maps with scaffoldings. Since he dual-weilds his daggers he has a lot of moves. One motif is that his HP attacks are named after his Dyne skills.
【Position and Personality】
Hiding his profession as a thief behind an actor's mask, Zidane is a cheerful 16 year-old. His energentic personality is summed up as "he is cool when push comes to shove."* He has good powers of discernment, as well as plenty of courage, and he fancies himself to be a ladies' man. His brother Kuja is battling for the side of Chaos, and the two have vastly different views on life, with Zidane considering protecting people to be of the utmost importance. He is competing with Bartz to see who will obtain the Crystals first.
*Quote comes from Main Programmer, Ryuji Ikeda
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Trance mode from the original game.
EX-Mode Bonus: "Level 10 Jump" (Possible to jump 10 times while in the air) Further more, until he hits the ground again, enemy attacks will not hit him.
EX-Mode Burst: "Reserse Gaia." Using his daggers, he accelerates through a series of high-speed attacks, then he connects his daggers together by their handles to from a single swallow blade, for a single finishing blow. A gauge is displayed, and the O button is pressed to execute the series of attacks. The gauge is split into quarters, each one possessing a certain time limit. If the barrage slows and the time limit passes, it will automatically skip to the last attack.
[color="#00BFFF"]==========================[/color]
Kuja
(http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/2580/1229132194420ls4.jpg)
【Concept】
"Range Free/Range Master"
By pushing X in the air, he is able to glide about freely. It gives a feeling of floating with its own peculiar inertia. While he is able strike hard from above, he does have short-range attacks as well, letting him easily cope with close-combat. He can move while attacking, and the analog stick can be used in 2-stage attacks, allowing the range of the second attack to vary. If this type of combo consists of the same type of magic - for example Flare followed by Flare - the second attack will be powered-up.
(Note from Mini: Apparently, recreating spells like Ultima as they appeared in IX was difficult.)
【Position and Personality】
Kuja is a beautiful and brutal angel of death, wrapped in a shadowy ambiance. As in the original story, he is deeply involved in plotting to ensnare his brother Zidane. He enjoys speaking as if he is in a play, and is a narcissist with a bias towards beauty. Possessing an extraordinarily high amount of pride, he tends to look down upon the other troops of Chaos, and plans to be triumphant over all of them.
【EX Info】
EX-Mode Effect: Trance from the original game.
EX-Mode Bonus: No name given. While moving and jumping, Kuja is automatically protected by a ring of magic. Also, everytime he jumps a bullet of light is shot out from the ring.
EX-Burst: "Last Requiem" Begining with a series of magical explosions, his bullets of light come together in a single large ornate explosion for his finale. The same as Zidane, once the gauge appears the O button is to be pressed repeatedly to cause the explosions. The gauge is divided into quarters, and if the pace of entry is too slow the gauge will vanish, ending with the reduced number of explosions.
Oh I am so making Kuja, Zidane, Kefka and Terra my mains!!! :D
Famistu character reviews
Quote- Onion Knight (82.5) is able to obsorb EX balls easily. He is a suitable runner, and good at air combos. Also shoots something using HP, the Meteor attack is also very satisfying.
- Cecil (87.5) - Cecil has gotten stronger from FF4, and can also be very easy to use so is recommended for beginners.
- Bartz (87.5) - His HP attack in the air brings the enemy closer to you he is also given one of the strongest attacks in FFV For his EX Mode.
- Terra (82.5) - Most of Terra's attacks are more on the magic side then the physical side and some of her attacks are weak. However she has a good defense.
- Cloud of Darkness - (88.3) - CoD is shown to be more of a sexy character, the reproduction of this character is very high and the performance of this character is also above average. With tentacles that can attack, the combos being hcanged depending on the timing of attacking makes this character unpredictable.
- Golbez - (66.7) - Golbez has a very short distance and that distance can be attacked a mix between slow and fast paces. Golbez goes for more technical ways such as warping, and combos. This character is not for beginners, and is more strategic.
- Exdeath (53.3) - Exdeath is not a fighter, he is more defense centered and requires a lot of strategic usage. It's hard to understand how to control him. You'll easily be able to tell who is a beginner with this character. However his Ex-mode is one of the most powerful of them all.
- Kefka (93.3) - Kefka is a wonderful character, most of his attacks show the more comedy side and KEfka is also great at purusing other players. The way his attacks go are also unique so he can throw anyone off to a surprise.
- Warrior of Light - 78.3 - WOL has a good attack, and an average defense however the pursuit performace of this character is very low and most of his attacks go in a straight line. However the Exmode focuses a mix of magic and attack at the same time.
- Firion (63.3) - The character has a bit of a strange movement with him and can cut his combos off whenever he wants. He can use Blizzard to create a small blur and that's very helpful when in battle.
Squall (83.3) When one attack hits with Squall he can begin to go right into a combo nearly instantly making him a very attack focused character.
Sephiroth (85) - Sephiroth has a long range and deals a good ammount of damage. Howeve starting his attacks can become a little slow. So a skilled player can take him out if they know what they're doing.
Random from a recent interview
Quote
- Dissidia was being planned since Kingdom Heart's Development which was 7-8 years ago.
- He puts it under the Genre "Free Action RPG" in the style Kingdom Hearts was.
- Game is mostly done by the young staff.
- For the longest time he always wanted to do a project like this.
- There were many candidates for the game including Kain, Seifer, Seymour and a different style of Onion from FF3
- After doubts about these characters they were discarded.
- Two FFV characters were a obnoxious to design and Nomura had to draw them many times.
- To tell the truth Terra on the Potion and Terra in the game have different faces.
- It took a while to bring out the best in Cloud and Sephiroth from FF7
- If the other characters with EX Forms were added there would be a huge ammount of data in the game.
- There were many Trial and Errors in the customization section (Like testing and then fixing mistakes)
- The biggest problem with the game was getting it done by the date. The replay was the first idea to come with the game.
- The replay function allows you to turn on or off BGMs, Voices, and Sound Effects.
- The gameplay progresses as the Story Does. (Huh?)
- He has MAJOR regrets for not having Kain in the game.

oh don't worry, I plan to use Garland and Golbez~
I'm mainly going for cloud. Those 2 seemed to have had the most work put in them.
Thinking about it, dispite how over rated he is, Cloud is ironically the only one of the heros whose personality is the type that won't get taken over by his emotions in battle causeing him to RRAAGE, get cocky or Baaww.
Also according to leaked info, there are 22 characters in the game.
KOS-MOS side:10+Shantotto
Chaos Side: 10+???????
not sure why Shantotto is on the heroes side if she's non-canon, but if that's the case than the XII entry has a high chance of being an antagonist. Also would mean KOS-MOS and chaos aren't useable.

You forget about Bartz. No matter what you say, Bartz got his [parasitic bomb] done without a single phase of emo, cocky or rage.

Better be Gabranth. Or Dr. Cid (there is no Cid in this game yet). Or Vayne.
To even it out it'd have to be an antagonist. But again, these are non-canon entrees so it really shouldn't matter. But again the fact that Shantotto is loosely linked to the heroes side says other wise.
The Cid issue also plays a factor as this game doesn't have one yet.
and Butz loses any and all points for having the most retarded name ever.
You hafta be a real man to save the world with a name like that.
Butz is lame. Now Assey McGee, THAT's a name.

Wait a minute! I thought his name was Bartz?! ??? ???
Different localizations got different names. The translation hack i've got for the ROM has Butz. I think Bartz was from the PS1 version, but I forgot the GBA version. :\
The official name is Butz. The Dissidia trailer even spells it out in plain english as Butz. Bartz is just an altered/made up version the english localization team pulled because it's a homophone.
Is is pronounced Butts or Boots?
Well, you know what they say... when something stinks, it's usually the Butz.
The official Japanese reading/pronunciation is バッツ or "Battsu".
So, really, "Bartz" is not a bad way to pronounce the name, even if it's not the originally intended romanization spelling. The "ar" sound in "Bartz" is much closer to the way the Japanese name is pronounced, which is probably another reason why they went with the name over "Butz", besides the obvious.
the sound is one thing, but as far as official english spellings goes, It's Butz. Which isn't really rare for A's in kana to be meant to actually be typed, and also sound as U's.
Such as with the name Gundam. Ga-N-Da-Mu. Or Basuto Modo/Burst Mode, SurAsta/thrUster, etc.
useing an A for what should by a U type sound is just easier for them. and sounds closer to what the real pronounciation is. if they used their own U's it's sound like Bootz, goondam, or Throoster.
It's also Cefca >.>
A sounding like U is usual English language dealie.
The names are English, and Japan wants them to be pronounced that way.
X-Death is way cooler than Exdeath or Exodus.

Alright, so I was officially still on the fence...until I saw that new PV earlier today. 8D

Ya know, sometimes, I wish if I knew more about the Final Fantasy lore, because the trailer itself is all different kinds of hype building eye-candy and for me to jump on the game just because of that seems like it would be half defeating the purpose. XD
I like how the last scene is basically KOS-MOS and chaos summing GANDAMUS, while everything starts going [tornado fang]ing TRANS-AM.
*Collapses from this high level of awesome, comparable to watching "The Dark Knight" for the first time*
You know, the slight disappointment about this game is that they won't be able to show Sephiroth actually -trying- in his fights.
Besides that. >BD @ Zidane's FALCON---KICK! on Garland. Or was that Goblez...?

Nice, looks like SE may actually be able to make a fighting game with *gasp* an epic story! (hopefully) Anywho, i'm just wondering who that guy was at the
very end. Gilgamesh? :\
We already know the story is epic. all 4 famitsu reviewers agreed for once that the story was epic, and did an incredible job mixing all the characters in one game.
Just played it.
It felt like the first time ever i played smash bros : I have no idea about the mechanics, hell, i dont even know what are the buttons for. Pretty much, i have no idea of what's going on. But it's bloody spectacular, fun and amazing, i push some buttons and suddenly spectacular stuff happens in the screen. If you are a fan of fighting games you HAVE to play this game, even if you are not a fan of Final Fantasy. Dramatic progression, or whatever SquareEnix named this genre...remember it, it's here to stay.
The only bad thing is that i can only choose the good guys so far ( probably i will unlock the villains in story mode).
Bloody amazing.
The guy at the end looks like an FFTA/A2/XII Judge.
He is Gabranth, a judge from FFXII.
PA orders are now in the final stage. Also the price rose to 65.

and of course you only acknowledge Wakamoto's most recent role.
Dracula, Anderson, and Coach are much better characters.
Benjamin and the Dark King from Mystic Quest should have been playable. What a letdown.
Got the soundtrack for this one too. Was exactly what I expected. Remixes of orignal themes. Most were... disappoitning. Especially Chaos' theme.
The standard battle themes of FF2 (REAL FF2) and FF9 got the best remixes.
Clash on the Big Bridge is there too. In exchange: no sign of X-Death's theme.
I saw this yesterday in Chi-Town. The guy said it was pretty good.

It's because it's been too commercialized thanks to Advent Children and Crisis Core.
I mean, it was great the very first time on the Playstation FFVII. o.o
A bit of originality and maybe different lyrics and notes (remixing it) would be alright.
One Winged Angel was even on Kingdom Hearts II. no need to rub that song into our faces every time there's a game involving FF7.. oh wait..

At least the "One Winged Melody" someone made for the 360 version of Guitar Hero World Tour added some new parts for the rockin' remix. Honestly, it was epic back when FF7 was released; not so much now. >.>;;

I am ready to live stream a big piece of the game (including Story Mode) when I get back. ^^
A quick tutorial: The white number above your HP is your Bravery Point and shows how much damage you deal to your opponent when you perform a special attack with the Square button. You can also raise this number with normal attacks (Circle button). When you hit someone, you will gain Bravery Points, while your opponent loses some. If you move the Analog Pad in a different direction and press either of the buttons, you can perform a different move than a regular one (you can set these yourself and you gain new ones when you level up your character). Different moves applies while you're air-borne too. The Circle button attacks are also Guard Break moves, so if you deal enough hits with that, the screen suddenly turns white and you will earn an extra 1000 to your damage meter, which means that next time you attack with Square attacks, it will be very dangerous for your opponents. You can also perform dodge moves by pressing R+Cross and a direction. This works in air too. R is the guard button, but only for regular attacks.
On the far edge of the screen is the Mana meter (purple color). When it's full, you can start EX Mode by pressing R+Square. It casts Regen on you, so you recover a bit of HP. Now, when you successfully hit your opponent at this point (before the mana meter runs out), you can perform the Super Special move by waiting for a big Square button to show up on the screen. From there, you perform your character's trademark "Limit Break"-style button sequence to deal big damage. Cloud's Super asks you to mash the Circle button to fill up the Limit Break counter. Squall's Super asks you to press R-trigger at the right moments. Warrior of Light has D-pad sequences. And so on. If you played FFX, you know how Tidus's Super works. >v<
You gain Gil to later spend them for items on the game's Main Menu shop. The shop gets unlocked later in the game.
You also gain PP points. That's the game's currency for unlocking characters and extra features.
I explain more when I get into it further.
I also like the theme song "Cosmos". It actually fits great in a fight. ^^
At first I thought that Chaos' battle theme sucks. But it's MUUUUCH better when you're actually fighting him. Or watching someone fighting him.
Some fun-looking Bravery Points I got. ^^;

Alright, from my observations, the only way to really deal HP damage is via special attacks, with normal attacks giving you enough energy to perform them? ???
Extractly.
Normal Attacks gives you Bravery Points. Special Attacks uses the Bravery Points at your opponent.
You can start out with very high Bravery if you equip items that raises your BV. ^^

Lookin' kinda Jenova, there!
but her eyes are nowhere near her nipples
I've recently begun giving the game a test run, and it's... interesting. I'm getting a very familiar vibe from this game, but I'm not sure from where exactly.
Also, Zidane kicks ass. I've played a decent amount of fights with each character, and the one I feel the most comfortable with is him by far.
I just learned that whenever I counter an enemy's attack I can deal high damage with cloud then do the omnislash v.5.
Tidus > everyone else. >_> Seriously, HP attacks linked to his brave attacks, (A good number of them) speed, levels up the fastest and the oh-so-impressive Blitzace! Bravo my favorite Final Fantasy character. Bravo. Now if only Jecht shot weren't so slow. x_x (Feel free to correct me on the name, Vixy, my reading of japenese r-rusty. Also, how do you battle others online? I've only been able to go against my wife and that was at like, a five foot radius.
Edit: Also "The Extreme" still > One winged angel. But I like what they did with "Decisive battle".
A lot of people said you need to connect the PSP through a PS3 and connect to other people that way. That's kinda sad. Also in the Online Lobby, there are different channels to connect and wait for other players. The first choice is Corneria (last time I checked >v< it was during the live feed).
And no mistakes, it's ジェクトショート (Jecht Shot). ^^
apparantly the online mode should work with this too
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/XLink_Kai
Just wondering... 'Other World' is in the game, yes? That song is just amazing on so many levels.
The FFX track, yea. You can play it on any arena and for any character. It's fun fighting Tidus/Jecht with it. ^^
Good, cause now I know which song I'll be using. Gotham's pretty much declared either Dancing Mad or One Winged Angel.
I managed to do this in the game, on my trip to work:
Cloud Gets Cool Brave Points (FLV Video)
Flash 8 Quality (http://www.rockmanpm.com/i/flv/dissidia_cloud_gets_cool_brave_points_flash8.html)
Flash 7 Quality (http://www.rockmanpm.com/i/flv/dissidia_cloud_gets_cool_brave_points_flash7.html) (I'm testing this on Wii)
I have a question, Vixy. How did you convert your videos?
Managed to get Zidane to 100 and I'm doing the duel colisseum quite a bit. Would be a whole lot easier if I knew how to read japanese, which would help me make better weapons and such :P

Speaking of which, does anyone have the Dancing Mad themes that are separated from each other and combined together like the OST?

I have a question, Vixy. How did you convert your videos?
1. Beat 2 out of 10 characters' Story modes to unlock Museum.
2. In the Winning screen after a match, you see text in the left corner. Press Square(Enix) button to save a Replay.
3. Go to the Main Menu, head to Museum right under PP Catalog. Now pick the bottom choice here to reach the Battle Replay section.
4. From here you can choose (from top-to-bottom) to Watch your replay, Edit it (I guess), or Convert it. Um, make sure you connect your AC Adapter first, because the game hints you to do that. It takes lots of processing and power to convert a replay.
5. You can pick between Low, Medium or High quality. The game will measure how big each quality will be before you begin. Low is fast, High is slow. ^^;
6. Your avi will be saved in a VIDEO folder on your memory stick. Use your favorite video editor for the avi file now. The codecs is JPEG something for the video at 29,97 fps and WAV 22kHz for the sound... >v<
7. ??
8. Profit x3

Kuja (LV1) vs Zidane (Lv100)
http://www.youtube.com/v/TE0vF780szs
Kujas lv increased to 23 after that fight.
It's not hard to level somone to 100. Especially on your special days, and with the EXP multipliers. You can get some people to max in an hour or 2. You just need the right opponent. Exdeath is retarded as hell and is easy. He always spams the same warp move. Which half the time if your performing your special move, will get over taken instantly.
Probleme though is that at 100, the matches end too fast and get boring. Especially at the inner chaos levels where the enemies all have broken weapons and accessories. They can easily break you with 1 hit, and 1hit KO you less then 10 seconds into the match. Chaos himself also breaks the level cap and is at 110.
Also COSMOS is easily the best BGM.
well reaching Max lv is not that hard thats right
Mastering skills is what takes the time even with special day you can only get 4Ap per battle in story and 6ap per battle (with AP chance) in duel

that's a weird way to spell Decisive Battle.
Decisive Battle sucked ass. Battle Scene -arrange- was a lot better than it. Especially at the spanish guitar segments.
Although The Man With The Machine Gun tops everything from the non original BGMs in Dissidia.
what about Seymour's final fight theme?
It's allright, but it takes too long to get to the good part. Since most of the inner chaos battles end fast, it rarely gets to it. TMWTMG starts off awesome and continues awesome.
Sucks that the OST screwed people with the final boss themes. They just spliced 3 different songs into a 6 minute long one.

The only new moves I've seen so far is Squall able to cast magic in the air now. Which, is good enough for me.

I'll give it another shot when it's out in english, if only so that I can actually play it on the road without consulting an FAQ just to know what item is which.

Wakamoto Chaos is superior.
Isn't Terra's hair green?
Yes. Her twin sister, Tina, has blond hair.
I don't know what game she was in.
The palette colors!! XD
Yoshitaka Amano did give her blond hair on the first artworks.
I like green hair better. Samus had this problem too.
except samus was a brunette, and only had green hair after picking up the Varia.
I thought she had green hair at the end of NES Metroid?
In the ending, she's a brunette. When she's JUSTIN BAILEY, she has green hair. ^^
Well, at least I know that Saria has green hair!
It took game companies long enough to get their colors straight.
I remember Link having brown hair, and Mario & Luigi having some weird color swaps with their shirts and overalls.
link has pink hair.

no, because it's the middle of the year and getting a new calender now would be pointless.
I'd like to unlock new music in the game. So far, I've only really beaten Tidus' story. I'm pretty impressed with him, though I'm only level 14 as him. I still need to practice defensive moves a bit and timing combos, but I'm getting pretty good otherwise.
Sidenote: As much as it probably wouldn't fit a chaotic fight, I really wish this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a39jSLBo20&fmt=18) was in the line up of selectable stage music. I spent a while on the level grid in Story mode just listening to this.
I'm giving it another go in English this time. Zidane's still my top choice of the bunch, and will probably remain so.
I hear the game was completely rebalanced for this release, so some characters are a little better and others are a little worse to be more fair. People who played the Japanese version and are going through the American version, have you noticed the changes?
I have, actually. Now it seems easier to flow into certain attacks than it was before. I haven't played as everyone yet, mind you, but there are a few changes I've noticed so far.
The local Square-Enix and Namco distributor has sent word today that both Dissidia Final Fantasy and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP have been delayed until September 11th in New Zealand. Both games were originally due out this Friday. The delay is down to stock arriving late into Australia.

i liked his air crap in the japanese version... >.>
It doesn't help he starts out with an arrow for both his air and ground. That sucked. You've gotta just hope the computer gets one retarded moment and doesn't decide to dodge.
I've not really seen him gain much more than Sword Slash, Fire, Blizzard and Thunder for the air. The magic attacks are too slow to be much help and Swordslash makes you have to be too close to the target, usually a death knell if the opponent blocks in mid-attack.
It's fine, since I've found his axe throw move is more than enough to take care of things, especially with the HP attack extension. I just wish he was a little more versatile in the air, since a lot of characters like taking the battle to the skies.
Kefka is another problem. He needs to be able to move quick in the air if anything since he's a hit and run fighter, except he sinks like a [tornado fang]ing rock.
Just got this two days ago.
I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm doing it well.
has anyone gotten to the inward chaos story? bc that place is hard as hell >^< and im about to do somethin ima regret -_-
You're gonna use the Exdeath levelling exploit?
considering it although i just traded one or two chocobo cologne's for lvl's >_>
honestly, running through arcade a few thousand times doesn't seem too fun for me.. >>;
its not for me either i might do the Exdeath thing but it confuses me a bit o-O
The Duel Colosseum is generally good for leveling as well. It's a pain collecting all the stuff for the level 100 weapons, though. Yay for Manual Odin for the rarest stuff you need, though.
Yeah, I'm really not a fan of some of the [parasitic bomb] you have to do in this game. Like having to play through everybody's stories more than once to get everything. I'd download a completed save if it wasn't for the fact I don't wanna know someone elses ass stats
I'm not a fan of AP grinding to get everyone's moves to at least reduced capacity points. You get so little, even with a full Diamond set on a bonus day.
Then knowing you've got to do it 21 more times. The ultimate weapons aren't much fun either. All this is serving is reminding me how much I dislike pointless item grinding in RPGs.
All things considered, it could be a whole lot worse. At least the character's stories aren't all that long, especially when running through when you're higher leveled. Beating Shade Impulse over and over again with all the characters gets very very dull, though.
I'm slowly getting better. But the battle system still feels random to me.
It starts feeling less random as your characters get more skills and higher leveled. Well, that's how it worked out for me, at least.
I hope so. It's not like I have many skills right now.
Who do you people play as anyway?
Zidane's the character I use the most. I appreciate his speed, and although he's not the strongest of characters, that can be rectified with accessories anyways.
Haven't played them all yet. But I'm stuck with Cloud at the moment.
I use Onion Knight the most, with Squall and Cloud tied for 2nd
Taking a break. Installing the biggest pack.
Takes a while. Hope it's worth it.
i use Cloud at first till i got him lvl 100 now i play as Seph Jecht and Warrior of Light
(http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/1426/snap016r.png)
Meh.
Spent the day playing as Jecht and Zidane. I like both so far.
Is it just me or plays Jecht a lot like Cloud? He pretty cool still. Zidane surprised me. He is pretty damn fast, which gives and almost unfair advantage (Especially against Exdeath).
My first 100's were Squall and Kefka and those are really who I main. There's nothing more satisfying than raping a computer on the ledge with Revolver Drive.
Kefka's game is just completely opposite. Its spam spam spam spam, run when they're close, spam spam. Generally just being an annoying prick.
Other characters I like are Jecht, Sephiroth, Ultimecia and Cloud of Darkness. Jecht can get nasty with his brave attacks. He's literally destroyed me on higher levels with a single combo. Sephiroth, there's just something satisfying about swinging your sword once and the opponent getting hit like 20 times. The problem is, he's so easily dodged that its not even funny. Ultimecia is another range game. Most of her HP attacks suck though the fun is whittling away the opponents brave while raising yours and then hitting them with Time Compression in her EX Mode and commencing the [twin slasher]. Cloud of Darkness has melee brave attacks then uses all sorts of different particle beams to get the job done. Plus, her voice is just downright sexy.

Gabranth plays cool too. Despite his lack of Health attacks.
He's interesting, yeah. He's got plenty of brave attacks and from what I've seen, when he dodges successfully, he also gains brave. He shines in EX Mode, though which is why I'm glad he can charge. Problem is, unless you send the opponent flying, you have run away to charge.
I've tried everyone, and so far the only characters I don't really like so far are Exdeath and Emperor. Perhaps that will change as I get more moves for them, but as it stands it doesn't work well.
Yeah charge is pretty useless when you're fighting an agressive opponent. But at least you can pound your enemies so hard they won't inflict any damage whenever you charge.
highest level so far is terra, 46~ >>

Exdeath is what you expect from a tree: slow.
So very, very slow... drives me nuts XD
exdeath gets the ability to teleport~
But it's extremely predictable.
Truth be told, I've Exdeath Tricked most of my characters. Squall was pretty high before I Exdeath'd him and so was Kefka. However, I don't go straight for lvl 100. With Squall, he ended up going from.. I wanna say Level 60 to Level 80. Kefka went from 40 something to 80 something. In fact, thats what I did to nearly every character just so they wouldn't be so tedious to play as. I've only used the Exdeath trick once to make a character go from 1 to 100 and that was The Emperor. Cause really, I don't care much for him.
So usually, its anywhere from around a high lvl 40 to low lvl 80 depending on what accessories I use and what the bonus day is. I still finish grinding after that, I just can't stand not having anything to work with, like Firion. All he had was the [tornado fang]ing straightarrow.
All that said, Exdeath is by far the coolest villain. Look at him, he's too cool for a silly face:

Why does Bartz look so incredibly feminine? He always came off to me as a real go getting bad ass. Then I saw the art for the game and I was like "Who's the chick?"
His alt costume does not help, either
Because Nomura is incapable of drawing manly-looking characters (especially heroes) without also making them look gay or feminine.

No doubt that Nomura is a good artist. The problem is that, in recent years, some of his original concepts really went out of hand. Versus has the most normal looking cast he created in years.

This. (Probably the fifth time I've quoted Hitomi to make a point)
Anyway, I've been playing since before it came out, because I'm broken like that. Squall and Bartz are level 100 and I've even done two videos on my tuber account if anyone is interested. Just me being lazy while fighting CPUs.
From personal analysis, almost all the characters are decent in their own way, competitvely, when you figure out how they play, their basic strategy and yes, get a chance to have all their moves. You can't totally define most of the characters without having a full move set. That said... this is where the almost comes into play. Shantotto... What. The. [tornado fang].
She's the most powerful blackmage. I get the fact she's a MAGE, but in a legitmate PVP fight, she won't last. Her lack of... well, usefulness against any aggressive player is depressing. And her HP attacks, while [tornado fang]ing awesome when she has the BP... you'll most likely never HAVE the BP to unleash her higher level tier spells. In theory anyway.
Gabranth is difficult to play as, but you can pull it off with the right accessories and what not. Hell, you might even be able to make a decent Shantotto with the right accessories. But from what I can tell, that's kinda the line. It's drawn between Gabby and Shantotto. Personally, my favorites are Squall, Bartz, Golbez and Gabby.
http://www.youtube.com/user/Aresian (http://www.youtube.com/user/Aresian)
heck, the only character he didn't base off amano's artwork was garland
and that's only because he didn't have artwork by amano.
So its Amano I need to blame for Bartz looking ridiculously female?
Amano draws really amazing scenes, environments and monsters. But his characters are really really androgynous. With some few exceptions (like Sabin and Cyan).
I actually like Amano's artstyle. Even if his character's do look feminine.
Who said you can't like it?
Poor poor Shantotto... so easy to toy with.
I hate Shantotto so so much. What a terrible and annoying character

I will say this about Shantotto.
She makes excellent killing fodder. Her A.I. is quite stupid, possibly as bad as Exdeath.
Aresian: Nah, its cool. I respect your opinion, bro.
I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of Shantotto either....but ExDeath on the highest AI settings is pure comedy!
Then again, I do main the Emperor, so....
atleast he has an actual AI now.
Yeah, he's actually a bit improved in the AI department... too bad for him that all his moves are pretty damn predictable (and slow).

Ugh, item grinding. I realised yesterday I really need to try and get some better equipment for my lower levels. Depending on the the character, the highest level shield/gauntlet they can use is a Level 43 or a Level 50 item until at least Level 92.

I've been trying to get the materials for Tidus', Squall's, Zidane's and Cloud's better equipment. I got some of the components but am missing a few completely. I imagine they'll be in Lunar Whale course?
I only mention them since they're at level 100 and almost fully set up, a few moves needing to be mastered here and there. Expect Bartz and Onion Knight to join them soon enough. Not interested in the other heroes and I've yet to try out the villains, though Jecht looks like he'll join my playable roster pretty easily.
Which components are you missing? Each one of the level 100 items is a rare drop when you break each of those characters at a... 1% or so drop rate I believe.
There's a sort of cheapish way to get them to drop more often, but at least it's far quicker than trying to grind them out... I did it in the Jap version, and don't feel like doing it here. I'll put it in spoiler tags though just in case.
[spoiler]The best way to do it, I've found, is to equip a moonrise and two sunrises. The rest of your accessories should be booster accessories that you know will be in effect right at the beginning of the match no matter what. Once that's done, equip Manual Odin. Start the battle (in Quick Battle) and use Odin right away. If he doesn't work, or if you don't get the Gold Star drop, just pause the game and go to retry. It won't have any adverse effects to your stats I don't think, since it will be like you never used the summon or got any exp. Keeping trying until you get that Gold Star, then kick his/her ass.[/spoiler]
The other half of the ingredients are in the Invincible course... either that, or trade them for megalixirs (which you also get from the Invincible course).
Don't know why I never posted here. Anyway I like the game. Except for one small detail.

Heh, I knew you would pull that pic out. Go look at the other ones. Almost everyone is blonde in those pictures but not all of them are blondle as sprites. Well except maybe 3 people which i believe were Cyan, Gau, and Strago they aren't blonde in their pics or sprites. Hell even Mog's puffball is yellow when it is pink in game. When I think of a blonde hottie in VI I think Celes. Plus I bet you are just bringing this up to mess with me. You loved to do that don't know.

Who cares what colour Terra's hair is (or isn't)?
I just hate the sound-clip that repeats itself ad-nauseum whenever I fight her.
"GET AWAY!"
I don't like how much of a wuss they made her that she has to rely on Onion Knight (...would it kill them to just name him Luneth? I doubt many people outside of Japan even remember the original O.K.) I miss the absolute wrecking machine she was at the end of FF6 after snapping out of her depression in World of Ruin.
But then again, they also made Cloud extremely depressive compared to how much of a talkative [tornado fang] he was in VII, but we've already analyzed it's just because he's an eternal screw-up who can't even save the world right.
True. Not something I particularly want to admit, but true.

Dissidia 2.
PS3 and Xbox360. Featuring every FF party member + Summon ever.
See, I've thought about a Dissidia 2 roster in my head and I'd go with the simple add one more villian and one more hero to each game
Like, having Sabin represent 6? [tornado fang]ing awesome. I wanna Bum Rush some mother fuckers
I want Vaan in.

Uh... Watch Advent Children. Cloud went emo canonically.
Also, Terra was always a bit of a wuss until she let her womb drop. They took that Terra because it was more beneficial to take the characters BEFORE they had their changes in their respective games... or in Cloud's case, after they lost positive character development.

This. I'd recommend the character that is most linked to the main character (heroines probably) on the Cosmos side. Probably most rival like character on the Chaos side. (Seifer, Leon, Seymour, etc.)

VII - Hero: Zack, he has to. [tornado fang] the rest. If not, then Tifa, probably.
Villain: Um.. Genesis? Really, who else is there? Maybe a Turk? One of those lame AC remnants? Rufus packin a shotgun?
VIII - Hero: I really couldn't care less. Its a small cast. [tornado fang] Rinoa.
Villain: Seifer.

III - Uh... Defunct, didn't play enough.
IV - Cosmos: Rydia, simply because I said so. Kage is also acceptable. Chaos: Kain... duh.
V - Chaos: Gilgamesh. He's one of the most requested :P (Sure, why not. Might aswell appease people.) Cosmos: Galuf, srsly.
VI - Cosmos: Plenty here. Celes, Locke, Sabin. (Personally Celes) Chaos: General Leo (rival and possible misfortunate mind control on Kefka's part)
VII - Hero: Zack, he has to. [tornado fang] the rest. If not, then Tifa, probably. (This) Chaos: Genesis yes
VIII - Cosmos: I do care, so Rinoa definitely. Possibly implementing some of her Sorceress powers. Chaos: Seifer duh
IX - Cosmos: Vivi maybe? Chaos: [tornado fang] if I know, Beatrix if you wanna get stupid about it.
X - Cosmos: Yuna. Preferably FFX-2 Yuna. Chaos: Seymour butts
XII - Cosmos: BALTHIER and Basch. Chaos: Keep Gabby and add Vayne I guess.

And Balthier has no opinion of you because you're insignificant in his eyes. 8U
The idea of an expanded roster interests me for the sequel. I've got a few people I'd like to see in from the games I've seen.
I - Never played it... I don't know, I guess someone based off Red Mage? He always did seem like a pimp.
II - Never played, but I DO hope David Bowie here gets better A.I. than just "RUN AMOK!"
III - For the heroes, since Luneth is in... I don't know... Refia? For the villains, that bastard Xande who decided it was a good idea to bring back CoD.
IV - Not sure for the heroes. Would we be considering After Years characters too? Kage is also acceptable. Kain is almost a shoe-in if they don't go for Zeromus
V - Yeah, I'm going with Galuf here. Most epic death in the series. I don't give a damn for villains, but I'd randomly throw in Gogo as a more magic based Mime.
VI - Ooo... tough one. All of them are developed pretty well. I'd guess Celes, but to change things up a little, Sabin. Villain should go to General Leo to fit in with the anti-hero group party Jecht and Golbez formed.
VII - Zack Fuckin' Fair, with his Limit Break being Cactaur Dance into Apocalypse for the heroes. Easily. For villains... some would go for the Gackt-alike, but he's a [tornado fang]ing lame-ass villain. I'll play the Rufus Shinra card here, even if he is reformed now. The man wields a damn shotgun against Cloud's meat cleaver.
VIII - Don't care for most of the cast, but man, I gotta go with man-beast that is Laguna Loire for the heroes. Seifer's pretty much a no-brainer for the villains.
IX - We've got enough mages, thanks to the villains, so we don't need another. I'd go with Steiner. Not terribly interested with the villains.
X - Okay, Yuna can [tornado fang] off immediately so long as Auron's still in the wings. Come on, you gotta love a guy who summons a tornado, throws booze into it and sets the whole damn thing on fire. Villains DEFINITELY don't need another mage, so as much as Seymour deserves the position, I'm going to have to lean closer to X-2's Tidus-clone, Shuyin.
XI - Don't care.
XII - Balthier. No more needs to be said. Vaan's worthless. I don't know the villains well enough to throw a vote there.
And for the hell of it...
XIII - Lightning and Snow on the heroes. There's this one moron with blue hair in the trailers. He looks evil, lets use him.
XIV - Don't care.
FF7's heidegger should also be a summon. Damn egg man
Quote from: STM on September 25, 2009, 06:41:36 AMX - Okay, Yuna can [tornado fang] off immediately so long as Auron's still in the wings. Come on, you gotta love a guy who summons a tornado, throws booze into it and sets the whole damn thing on fire.
Not only that, but killing the man only served to [acid burst] him off.
I also fully support the Sabin inclusion. Mofo can SUPLEX A TRAIN. MADE OF DEATH. You'd think the world would've just exploded from awesome right then and there.
I'll admit I haven't played Dissidia, I don't have my PSP anymore since I lost it before I moved. Honestly, I may never play it, but oh wells. Though, it seems as if the entire roster needs to be AT LEAST doubled for the sequel if it shows up, though I would like more characters to appear since the game is a freakin' sausage fest, and a good chunk of female characters would REALLY help balance that out (I think Celes, Tifa, the one girl from FF5 and FF3DS, and maybe bring over some Dragon Quest characters if need be).

You like Vaan. That speaks volumes for it's self.
As for STM's post... hm. I agree with the desire to have less mage characters, specifically with the villians, I'll give you that much.
FFX-2 has a number of villians to choose from, those three guys, Baralai and the other two that I don't remember their names... are all valid choices.
Auron is badass, but I'm iffy on it. If we do that, eventually we'll just have too many sword users. Yuna would bring something new to the table, especially if she had like "Dress Sphere" changeability, kinda like how Cecil has Dark and Light.
That and the game needs more girls, lets face it. I pretty much said anything else that needed to in the one before this.
Actually, my logic for Gilgamesh is that he's appeared in most of the games in the series in some form or another, and if certain bits of dialogue are anything to go by (bar that one guy in FFIX, perhaps), it may even be the same one throughout.
He's pretty similar to Aifread the Pirate then in Tales of, where he's mentioned or appears in several of the games.
JUST PUT EVERYONE IN THERE AND EVERYONE ELSE WILL BE HAPPY.
SUMMONS ARE BOSSES.
Will the summons have better AI than Chaos? He was such a terrible end boss. He made some SNK bosses look good.
If they made a sequel I know who I would want from each game. As with any fighting gme they should never take anyone out. Just add more people. As much as I like Acid idea these are my picks.
FFI Red Mage/One of the original 4 fiends
FFII Doesn't matter I would be happy with anyone.
FFIII Not sure how they would do this since they basically took away the main hero's name.
FFIV Kain/Zemus or Edge/Rubicant
FFV Galuf/Gilgamesh but Galuf has to be amnesia Galuf for some humor.
FFVI Locke, I love Locke. Always have. Plus his theme would be awesome to fight too. As for the villian General Leo is a nice choice.
FFVII Crisis Core Zack/Genesis
FFVII Tifa or Aerith /Reno
FFVIII Laguna/Siefer
FFIX Steiner/Beatrix. If you are going to pick Steiner you have to pick Beatrix as the villian.
FFX Auron/Seymour
FFX-2 Yuna or Paine/LeBlanc
FFXI Mithra(Job = Dancer)/Elvaan(Job = Blue Mage)
FFXII Balthier/Dr.Cid
FFXIII Lightning/Jihl

Also, I motion that we don't get retarded music themes like "Cosmos" or any of the three Chaos battle songs. The singing was insufferable and the lyrics down-right bad. At least we can change the music on Chaos round 1. We're screwed on the other two.
I finally gave up and used CW cheat to give me all the items. I couldn't stand the grinding for items. Thats all I cheated on, though. I'll do the rest normally.

[tornado fang] that one winged [tornado fang]

I can't use him. Then again, I'm also fighting against opponents set at Very Strong at lvl 100. Still, I could finish [parasitic bomb] with other characters when I needed to. With Sephiroth, I had to keep dragging and dragging it out because I just couldn't get his damn HP attacks to connect because he wants to pose then swing wildly.

Hmmm finally played someone in vs mode. I like it. I went 3 for 4. He only used Cloud since he was his only 100. I won with Cecil, Bartz, and Terra since they are my current 100lvl characters.... and yes I know I leveled up the SNES characters first. =p Anyway I lost with Squall but he was only 90 at the time. Yet I feel like its hard to win with him. Then there is Terra who just seemed unstoppable. Maybe my buddy can't dodge well, I like to think that Terra is just that bad ass.

Imagine if included other Square heroes..... Oh lord if Crono was in the next one.... that will be bad.
I fully support Chrono and Magus being in the next game, should it open up to other Square brands.
but then we'd wind up with like, five different keyblade users.
Hm... that could be a problem.
But Chrono wields a real sword.
Then we'll open it up to every Square brand except Kingdom Hearts. Nomura's too busy trying to make the plot as convoluted as hell anyway to give it inclusion.
I don't know if I would Choose Magus as the villian. I think it would be better if it was Crono and someone else. Maybe Ozzie? If you want Magus then you can't have Crono. It would have to be Frog and Magus.
You know what, I am going to make a Smash bros bitchslap type thread for Dissidia
I've not been playing Dissidia, truth be told. It's lost it's luster now that I don't have anyone to play it against. The fact they didn't include online is absolutely unfathomable. What the [tornado fang].
I am not a fan of this ad hoc thing. My ps3 doesnt have wifi and setting it up on my pc is annoying.
Seriously. If there's a sequel, there needs to be online. I mean, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops has online, by boogity. It may not be as well populated outside from a small group of people who haven't moved on to MGO on PS3, but it's still there for those of us who want to fight each other.
I really don't know why I am lvling to a 100 with everyone for. I beat my friend so bad he doesnt want to play me anymore.
Yeah, it's a big killer in the long run. Square doesn't care, though. They already have our money
Out of PB curiosity, would you guys prefer this type of game on the PS3 instead of the PSP?
I like it on PSP for it's portability, but I'm biased right now since I don't really play my home consoles that much right now.
PSP, because, you know, I don't have a PS3.
PS3.
1. There is a better chance of it being online
2. The PspGo bothers me. I know they want to makes download only eventually and if that happened to Dissidia 2 that would suck.
3. My god it would look amazing

I'm surprised no one mentioned it. >U<
For those who can actually find them in (well-hidden) stores, the XLink Kai adapters that you connect to the USB-port should work for anyone who wants to play PSP games online. (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/) Yes, including the games that only use Ad Hoc. This also works for Gamecube and PS2 as well. There are Mac drivers to install too. ^^
Oh wait, Amazon has it. (http://www.amazon.com/PLANEX-Wireless-Mini-Adapter-GW-US54Mini2W/dp/B000KN8QMQ/) Someone should help me get one too >U<
Wait so I can put that on my PC and play online? I don't have to switch anything to adhoc do I? When I used my Laptop I had to download Kai, connect it to my router via a wire and then switch the laptop to adhoc.
Wait nm PC is connect via wire already... this should work lovely. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm deterred by the fact I have to buy it
They should just release Ad-Hoc Party in the U.S. already. [tornado fang]ing lazy Sony...
Just finished massive [twin slasher] with Gabranth. Hoooooly [parasitic bomb].
He's a slaughterhouse when properly configured to stay indefinitely in EX Mode.
Which is what I've done, plus with the accessory that lets him start with a full EX bar.
Chaos got raped good.
I wish I cared to actually look up what accessories to equip and how to get all the good rare items to make them all, or this Exdeath level up trick that's been mentioned. But no, I have to level up and play the legit way, without bothering with faqs. Been like 76 consecutive days now and I only have 7 of my heroes maxed at 100 and haven't even touched a single villain. Like Lou, I pretty much feel I have to level everyone up to 100 for whatever reason. I've even put off buying KH 358/2 until I do so.
I finally played Inward Chaos today for the first time. After blowing it a few times with Cloud in the second stage, I chose Cecil. I just stood where I was placed to start the fight and spammed Dark Flame. Sad you can go through every single fight without moving and win against them all, even when they're maxed out over Lv. 100. That's some high quality AI right there.
...unfortunately that tactic does not work against Chaos, and I got my ass handed to me repeatedly...
Which is why I should probably start caring about equipping my characters properly. 8D

Who'd've thunk it
Also, what the [tornado fang] do those accessories that change that number in the top corner do. Just releases my EX orbs or what?
It multiplies the effects of gold star accessories. They're called boosters. They work well with thief's gloves too.
Oh, okay. So those might be useful?

Lol maybe you should change your title a little bit.
It get my hopes up. :(
*PS2 owner*
It's probably fake (http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/3686/wwwdotuporg512659.jpg).
Besides, I'd prefer it if Dissidia stayed portable.
I got it a while ago, though I like it, if only it had infrastructure.
Announced in Jump, and it comfirms Kain from IV and Lightning from XIII.
Even if I could only play it in single player the original Dissidia was a lot of fun, so I'm looking forward to this.
No wonder they didn't want to make DLC, they're making a brand new game.
Looks good!
Also, Duodecim means "Twelve"
Yes, because we totally didn't know those two would be in the sequel.
As a fighter it's a mild success being a completely unbalanced cheap fest, but pretty to look at and interesting.
What they really need to do is take this gameplay, and turn it into a large stage adventure game. It would be so damn fun.

Enjoy it for what it is Budokai Tenkaichi with FF characters.
And......pauses...don't you think....that's grand..?
Yay! Maybe they can balance out the gameplay better this time and have more characters!

This.
Once you get to the end game in Dissidia, you realise how hard it is for some characters to finish fights while others can do it in the blink of an eye and it's irritating. My mains are Squall and Kefka, both of which blow ass in terms of finishing anything. Squall can't link to anything, so you always end up getting dodged, which pisses me off to no end, because then I get assraped in the cooldown. What's the point of being able to chew away someones Brave like nothing if you can't take out their HP? And of course, Kefka only gets truly worth it when you hit EX Mode because of his magic beef up. At least Foresaken Null gets infinitely better sense it homes in during EX Mode.
So yeah, a little balance, please.
Also, for the FFVI roster, it better be Sabin. I wanna suplex mother fuckers.
NEEDS MOAR GALUF.
Please dont nerf Terra! :'(
AWESOME!!!
I really, really, really enjoyed what's now the first game~ and I still have some stuff to do w/ that game (taking my sweet time w/ it).
Here's hoping for some Locke or Celes~
I love how everyone's excited about them making the game more rounded-up. =P This is Square-Enix, people. Some characters will continue to be complete ass while others will be the overpowered fucks of always. 8D
Whatever. I just wanna see those FF7 characters got badly nerf'd. I didn't like that game, too overated.
And yes, Galuf vs Gilgamesh would be very pleased for me.
Here's my pitch for Square-Enix.
Final Fantasy: DiCIDia.
ALL CIDS. FIGHTAN EACH OTHER.

I've heard this one about a hundred times by now.
Still doesn't make it any less of a good idea, though.
Seriously? I just thought of it now.
...it's better than giving [tornado fang]ing NOMURA the license to draw all FF characters in BELTANDZIPPER and get them to fight in a heavily limited and frustrating control scheme with amazingly different power levels in characters.
Too bad they didn't push for a PS3 release. Such a thing would have likely meant better graphics as well as possibly LEGIT online play. I guess the name wasn't ridiculous enough for a PS3 release yet. 8D
Any way...I pretty much got my fill from the first game. Tell me they'll do more with the Campaign portion (re: don't just have me fighting polygonal clones of everyone, gyat dammit!) and do more to improve the game play overall, complete with "match-types" in order to give something closer to balance for Vs. play, and I might just get the sequel.

Beltandzipper is basically the name we give to Nomura's style, just because his outfits normally have alot of them. It doesn't mean that all of his characters have them. It's kinda like Rob Liefeld and pouches. We all know the real problem with Liefeld isn't pouches, but the fact that he doesn't know [parasitic bomb] about anatomy. The problem with Nomura is that all of his characters look the same. He's very attached to that style. And it gets worse with the years. He makes awesome men look like [Top Spin]s now.
Kain must be god tier in aerial combat.

Same could be said for many other artists. Compare the Dragon Ball (mainly the manga) artstyle to Dragon Quest for example. Toriyama pretty much makes most of the DQ characters Goku and Bulma look-alikes.

Oh, but Toriyama has got it BADLY. =P Everyone looks EXACTLY the same, every hero is Goku, every girl is Bulma, and even his animals and beasts all look the damn same. =P
That maybe but I wouldn't have it any other way with Toriyama although Liefield is a different matter entirely. Nomura zippers and belts are starting to grow on me honestly.
I like Toriyama's stuff.
I grew up with Toriyama´s stuff. It´s classic.
There's a difference between being samey but charming, like Toriyama, and being a 90's reject that only draws overly masculine bodies, has no sense of anatomy, and still can't draw feet after all these years, like Liefeld.

Also RPG world map mode where you form a team with four characters of your choice or something.
Oh yeah, I guess I should have posted about this o.o
I want this gentleman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVhRvXVaOgI#t=03m42s) to voice Laguna.
Oh, that'll be cool if it works out. That's sorta like something I was wanting in the first game.
Again. Still pissed about Vaan.
Really can't be helped. You have to have the main character in the game. It would have shocked me if he wasn't in it to be honest.
Posted on: December 21, 2010, 09:56:02 PM
My picks would be (Just the Heroes)
Final Fantasy 1 - Red Mage
Final Fantasy 2 - Whoever they pick would be fine.
Final Fantasy 3 - Here is where I would change one big thing. First remove the title Onion Knight and just name him Luneth, then add Refia and 2 other Jobs.
Final Fantasy 4 - Kain (expected this, Tellah/Teen Rydia would have also been cool)
Final Fantasy 5 - Galuf (with memory loss)
Final Fantasy 6 - LOCKE but to be honest anyone would be cool.
Final Fantasy 7 - Tifa (once again expected)
Final Fantasy 8 - Laguna (Very happy was expecting Rinoa)
Final Fantasy 9 - Vivi (Steiner also cool)
Final Fantasy 10 - Auron (Rikku also cool)
Final Fantasy 10-2 - Yuna & Paine (I know alot of people don't like this game but this would be a great way to get Yuna into the game without sacrificing Auron. Plus I think the dress spheres would be cool to fight with kinda like Cecil)
Final Fantasy 11 - Mithra, I haven't played this in forever but they should take one of the NPC( Non Player Character) Mithra and add her in.
Final Fantasy 12 - Vaan is already in. Fran is my choice. The star has to be...sadly (It would be like a MegaMan game with out MegaMan.... Hello X7 ...Ugh) Anyway since part one didn't have a hero for 12 then we should be expecting another. I hope it Fran, I always enjoyed listening to her speak)
Final Fantasy 13 - Lightning is already in, but I want Fang... I loved Fang.
Final Fantasy 14 - Shrug, more NPCs?
Tifa's in. owob It brings me great joy to know I can now beat the [parasitic bomb] out of everyone with a fistfighter. Keep your bigass swords and overcompensation.
Though I know it'll never happen; some FFCC characters would be really neat in Dissidia Duodecim; particularly Layle and Amidatelion.
I guess that's one reason why I'm not interested in Tifa... Fist fighters are typically boring, with very rare exceptions. Her style and limits have never been that interesting and as fist fighters go, she's one of the least impressive. Her boobs have more character than she does, honestly.
As for Vaan... really? I couldn't grasp him as the main character. He just doesn't fit it to me. Him and PeneloPE seem like they are tacked on more than anything. You could easily have the story without them or put placements to fill their positions with a few exceptions. Granted I never BEAT the game, but I played enough to realize Vaan really... was just there. The only person more transparent than Vaan was Penelo and she's actually MORE interesting than he is.
Oh well...
Final Fantasy XI has plenty of great characters in it, so there is a lot they could do there, like how they picked the awesome Shantotto. Stellar choice really.
Eh, I'm biased either way... but honestly, all people are, since everyone has an opinion. So eh.
Well, I have to agree 100% with Ares regarding Vaan. Main characters of FFXII are Ashe and Balthier honestly.
...
Well this is not exactly relevant to me so I'd say I don't really care who they add.
Speaking of main characters you think they will add Celes from FF6 ? She was just as a main character as Terra.
I dunno, the story really revolves around Terra.
True, but Celes would play a great alternate to Terra. More interesting than Locke to be honest too... didn't think of that. Celes would be great. An actual interesting AND attractive female character in the game.
And yes, yes. I know Terra exists... but she's more... I dunno. Little sister? You don't tap that, you protect that.
And Tifa is a floating pair of tits. >_> She's attractive, but not as interesting. Celes is the perfect combination. Also, didn't play XIII enough so can't speak for Lightning... she isn't THAT attractive though. A bit too butchish I guess? Her face makes her look like she's still more bishie than female. Her personality was interesting so far though.
I like Fang alot more then Lightning.
As for Locke instead of Celes I would rather see Locke just because I always felt connected to him, but that's the beauty of VI, they can put in anyone and I would not be upset that Locke didn't make it. To be honest I'm kinda rooting for Mog, that way I can dance my way to victory.
I share the same sentiments as Lou.
I personally would want Celes to be in, just so the roster isn't entirely a sausage fest, but since it's FF6, anyone is fine really. Shadow and Cyan I'd love to see in Dissidia's mechanics. Or even General Leo.
Plot wise, General Leo would make a hell of an addition, honestly. I don't think I could ask for a bigger twist with a lot of writing potential and emotion... but I'd still want Celes, for all the obvious reasons stated before. Even with the addition of Tits and Lightning Rod, they just don't feel very... womanly to me. I can't see Lightning as a woman yet because I don't know Lightning enough. She probably wouldn't WANT to be seen as a woman, so eh.
Tits is Tits.
Celes is a man's woman. *nods* Strong and dependable, but still in need of a great and confident man. Someone that can make her feel better at the end of the day. Yes, indeed.

Jump Fiesta trailer online, teases a certain summoner.
Saw that coming a mile away.
Still... damnit. I could think of a few other characters I could've gone with in her stead...
HOWEVER, in some retrospect, this might not be a bad thing. Yuna is certainly better than some heroines in the series. Certainly better than Tidus too. I loved her in X-2 in fact, even if her pining over Tidus is... well, yeah. Love is what it is I guess. *shrugs*
If Yuna can "Dress Sphere Change" in battle, that will make this epic. If she just has summoner powers... well, I hope they do it well. Really well.
We need Benjamin from Mystic Quest in here. That's what I think.
This funny thing about Yuna is that she is one of my favorite summoners (Rydia being the other) but her summons were some of the ugliest in my opinion, especially Bahamut.

Calling it now: Yuna's EX Attack is going to be Grand Summoning Yojimbo. If you get the command right, he uses Zanmato. If not, he uses one of his other moves.
Huh? Would you look at that? It's release day in JP already. If my PSP's screen wasn't incredibly [tornado fang]'d up right now (and I don't mean it in hyperbole =/) I'd be trying the game when it's "out".
Oh yeah, and there's a playable Chaos and stuff.
I'm surprised this didn't get bumped.
After realising alot of the game feels like more like DLC than needing a full update, I was starting to wonder if spending money on it was a good idea. BUt it ends up still being just as fun as the original and the world map on the story mode makes those god awful grid sections alot better.
I remember when they used to be called "Expansion Packs". =P
MGS: Portable Ops had one. They could be classy and release one too here.

"Expansion Packs".
That's the damn word I was looking for and couldn't remember. All this new fangled new age gaming is ruining my vocab.
I have a question about this.
Can I still fight for and collect equipment and material for equipment?
Well, no reason you shouldn't be able to.
Oh boo.
That was fun in Dissidia 1.
Uh, what? I said that you can.
Oh WHOOPS
My bad
misread it due to tiredness
Well that changes things entirely!

Pirate!Vaan DLC. Not sure if want.
And if this one's real... not sure if want either.
think about it this way: Vaan's dream is to become a sky pirate and rule the skies. Well, he did that, but it ain't enough, now, his goal is to rule the [chameleon sting]ing seas
AND THEN THE LAND!!
He's gonna rule THE WORLD! BAHAHAHA!!
Vaan must die!!!!!!!
It turns out the Yuna DLC alt is indeed real (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/04/14/dissidia_vaan_yuna/).
And for those of you who don't know, the Kuja and Zidane DLC is up on the EU PSN. No word if it will ever come to the US store, though.
The EU PSN's Release Schedule:
- 13th April: Zidane costume
- 13th April: Kuja costume
- 20th April: Three song pack from Final Fantasy IX
- 20th April: Five song pack from Final Fantasy I
- 27th April: Sepiroth costume
- 27th April: Three song pack from Final Fantasy VII
- 4th May: Laguna costume
- 4th May: Three song pack from Final Fantasy VIII

For anyone that cares (which is nobody) the US PSN has finally received some DLC for this game in its latest update, in the form of Music Packs for I, IV and XIII.
