Seems my brother is having trouble with his Capture Device and his Wii. The thing keeps showing up in black and white and he doesn't know how to fix it.

Turns out the PS3 was really broken. I don't know what is up with this idiot brother of mine but he broke the disk drive on the 360 when I let him borrow it. I try to put a CD into the PS3, and what do you know? Disk drive.

Anyways, I opened the whole thing up and I'm fiddling with said drive now.

So looking at the reviews of the capture device, it seems that most people think it's pure crap. I also couldn't find an answer for my brother's problem, or if I did I couldn't understand it in a sea of broken English on the support site.

That would be nice if that actually happened.

EDIT: I really don't know how my brother could have bought this piece of crap without reading the reviews, then again even if he did he's the type of guy who would ignore them anyway. Doesn't help that the thing shows up in top 10 best capture card lists either even though it's crap. And I know he won't listen to me if I tell if he should return it so I have to hope either he figures out how to get it to work or he decides to return it.

They used to advertise it on TV and touted it as having cheaper ink and such.

The printer sucks. You can't print black-and-white without having both the color and the bw ink cartridges. The cartridges are actually more expensive than refurbished cartridges for other printers. Oh, and the print quality blows.

If you want a really, really good printer, you get an Epson or a Canon. If you want a decent cheapo printer, you get an HP. If you want an expensive printer with crap print quality and expensive cartridges, you blow money on Kodak.

They can do film, but they can't do printers.

Mine was crap, it was finicky with the paper so much that it wouldn't print if the paper wasn't in a precise way and I think I remember it sometimes had trouble printing things like printing things twice even though I didn't say for it to do that or not printing things at all.

I wouldn't if you still have fish after taste since cheese and fish almost never go together.
