I watched the Eddie Lebron Megaman fanfilm.  I... didn't like it.

And my Mewtwo "Game of Clones" painting got 100 stars on Pixiv!  Yay!

It's long and the pacing was... ugh.  The costumes were... blech.  The acting was... meh.  Wily was the only good part of it, but even his hammy scenery-chewing performance couldn't save what was otherwise a very meh film.

The Lebron Sonic film was far better.  It may have been shorter with a smaller budget, but the acting was better and the pacing was much, much better.

What bothered me most about the costuming is that I've shat out better stuff with crappier materials.  Even my crappy Megaman.EXE costume was better, and it was [parasitic bomb]!  It's like they didn't even try.  "Oh, let's just put everyone in motocross outfits and crappily CG the rest!"

The Sonic movie had its problems, but it was so cheesy that I loved it.  Also, Jaleel White made it way passed cool.

I only saw the Lebron Sonic fanfilm because of Chip and Ironicus MST'd it. That Sonic looked like an evil abomination with the darker color scheme and those (unnecessary) extra quills.

Still frozen solid here...

The thing is... their reactions don't surprise me that much because I've seen it with my niece and nephew.  They've only seen gameplay footage of Sonic 2, and they think it's the hardest game in the world.

I mean in all honesty, it's expected. Like Egoraptor said in the Mega Man vs. X Sequelitis, a lot of gamers today have games that spoon-feed them how to do everything.

I can understand reacting to the graphics, but it's really sad to see them react to a 2-D jump and shoot platformer since those aren't very common anymore.

It's the main reason why I simply didn't like Mass Effect.  It held my hand the entire way, and the majority of the gameplay were choices in dialogue trees.  I had no inventory, no free-roaming of any kind, and nothing that made it even remotely challenging.  I played the first chapter and was bored with it, because there was no challenge at all. 

What was the point?
